Fudge a duck
I was driving at good Lord knows what speed. My window was down blowing my chocolate curls everywhere, and I was truly happy. It doesn't sound like any things wrong but isn't that always the case. You think everything's perfect with rainbows and smiles, but some people are good at hiding it, some people don't know it, but they're really in pain.
That's what was happening right now. I thought I was doing the right thing. I had finally gotten away from my parents abuse, and the small hell I call school. Okay maybe taking my phone away and grounding me wasn't abuse and having all honors with A's wasn't exactly hell, but hey I was sixteen and crazier then a clown on crack.
To prove this, I wasn't just driving to the grocery store to pick up dinner like a good little girl. No I was running,or to be exact, driving away. I had made it two hours from home still crying from the news. My parents were fighting again that afternoon, and as if to draw more attention to it they added one more thing. A divorce.
Now, going on three hours and thirty minutes I had finally calmed down, but my foot hadn't. The speedometer read eighty-five. I was on Huckle Barney Drive, I remembered because I was thinking of the big purple dinosaur that I grew up loving when it happened. The ear piercing screeches of metal on wood, the crack of trees snapping, the sound of my screams echoing through my head as I passed out. I remember it all and yet I still worried about something else.
Fudge a duck, I just got a new phone.
