I quickly dial Mel's number. She finally answers after a few rings.
"Dude, I'm really fucking late." I say as I get into my car. "Can you cover for me? Mel, you there?"
"Tyler, Brendon's here. Before you say anything, I'm not shitting with you, he's here. And that new guy Jack says that apparently you were Brendon's birthday gift. The corny little shit."
"It's his birthday? Shit, I'm gonna be even later now. I'll talk to you later." I drive as quickly as I can without getting pulled over. I buy a birthday card for Brendon and quickly sign it, "Happy birthday. I hope it's filled with Tumblr and Fall Out Boy -Tyler." I then drive to the restaurant and go up to Mel. "Is he still here?" She nods.
"I'm about to give him his check, actually." She holds it up and I grab it and put the card inside.
"Drop this on the table and do not say anything to him." She nods and walks off.

The waitress comes over and drops the check on the table.
"What the hell is..." I say, referring to the card on the inside. I take it out and examine it. I feel my eyes go wide as I read it.
"What are you..." Lynn says.
"This is from Tyler. He- how?" I say. Jack smiles rather largely. "Did you-" He nods. "Fuck. Where is he?" I don't wait for a response and push past Josh to leave the table. I then begin walking around the restaurant until I see him with a customer. He laughs slightly and writes down an order. He then walks away from the table and I call out to him.
"Tyler!" He looks up at me and smiles. We walk up to each other and then soon enough he's running toward me. He hugs me tightly before planting a deep kiss on my lips. His tongue enters my mouth and I forgot how much I missed the taste of him. We don't share any more words and ignore the disapproving looks from strangers. I finally had him. I have to do it right this time.
lmao that's the end I guess
