Coffee and Brownie

I replay the event that happened that night. Jason kneeling down in front of me and looking up at me with hopeful eyes. Ofcourse I did not know what he would ask but I had a feeling it would be something big and indeed it was.

I still cannot believe Jason asked me to be his girlfriend. Ohmygud when did I get so lucky??

I was so confused that night that I left him without answering and he ran after me stopping me. I had told him that I needed time and ofcourse I needed time. Okay he is popular and if I would be his girlfriend I would also be popular but he is a player too and anyway it's not like I have a crush on him so if I would be his gf that would mean somehow I am using him.

But now my mind is clear it's been twelve hours since he asked me and now that I have thought about it I would give him my answer. I grab my school bag from couch and run to school. Not waiting for Natalie or Hollie I pass her house and enter the school building. I wait five minutes to catch my breath. Also because I want everyone to see what I am going to do  so I need to wait until the hall is fully crowded. I glance around waiting for Natalie and Hollie to show up. As soon as they enter building I wave them and walk towards Jason. He sees me walking towards him and turns fully towards me. I walk upto him , he opens his mouth to say something but I cut him off by kissing him on lips. It takes him moment to realize what is happening but he responds to it confidently placing his arms around my waist. It goes for good five minutes before we pull back catching our breaths.

His friends and my friends clap while he kneels down and asks me again to which I reply with a yes and he pulls me into a hug lifting me off my feet. Bell goes and we all wave goodbye heading to our classes.

During periods I get glared by jealous girls while my girls they keep teasing me. During break we all sit together but Jason sits beside me and we share same lunch tray. He keeps fiddling with my fingers lost in thought and I have to say he looks so damn cute doing that.

After break ends he kisses me on head lightly and walks away while I walk towards my locker taking out my English books. I walk into class and frown when I see that hot boy who sits next to me is absent. I sit quietly in my place thinking about hot boy and why he was not here. I smack my self lightly when I realize I should be thinking about Jason not him.

The door opens and sir walks in instructing us to write and essay on Shakespeare's drama Romeo and Juliette according to what we think should have been the ending.

As we all start writing door opens up again and he walks in. I smile like an idiot looking at him.
Sir glares at him
"May I ask Lexis what took you so long?"

He looks down at the ground thinking of a reply.

Lexis P.O.V

I look down at ground thinking what to say. I finally came up with a lie.
"My neighbour had an car accident so I was with him in hospital ."

He looked at me and was convinced with my reply. So I took my seat. I realized Carrie was looking at me and I smiled at her. She smiled back.

Resuming my work I glanced at Carrie again. She was quite happy today I wonder what happened that made her so happy. Last time I checked it was me who made her so happy.

Bell rung indicating our period was over. The whole day was spent like this and I kinda missed my brother. But I can't go to him. I walked towards my bike just to see Jason and Carrie walking hands in hands towards the icecream parlour. I don't know why but it felt so wrong. She shouldn't be with him. Cmon everyone knows he's a playboy and no girl should let him toy with her.

It's been a week since I am coming to this school and I know which kid belongs where. It's all the same everyone here is either popular or seeking to be popular and here I am.

I jump on my bike and rush out of school and towards the coffee cafe I have meeting in.

Carrie's P.O.V

Today was I guess good. But I missed my girls. I spent so much time with Jason that I didn't get much time with Natalie or Hollie. So I decide to go to Hollie's house. I change into sweats and take my bag which has choclates, my books , and some stuff. I swing the bag on my shoulder and grab the mobile along with keys. I lock the door and keep the keys in my bag's pocket.

I decide to walk to Hollie's house. I can skate also but I am not in a mood today. The weathers quite good today. If mom and dad would have been home I would have gone out for picnic with them but they are as usual busy. A sweet smell of coffee hits my nostrils and I look around searching for cafe. I find it and enter. I walk towards the counter and a young boy of my age smiles at me asking what I would like. I order latte and molten lava brownie. Taking a seat at near by table. I glance around when my eyes stop at Lexis.

What is he doing here sitting with a business man. And what are they talking about in hushed tones. The man with whom he is sitting looks well rich and quite familiar.

The waiter brings my coffee and brownie. I eat it savoring the taste of it in my mouth. It would be understated if I call this delicious. It's mouth watering delicious. I love it. Next time I am bringing Natalie and Hollie with me.

As I am busy eating I see Lexis leave , I grab my cup and pay for it while running after Lexis. He walks keeping his head down and hood low covering his face and enter a posh hotel.

I stare at him walking in the hotel and and enter after him. He walks to counter talking about something and then walks towards lift. I exit the hotel while questions run in my mind about him. I am sure I was just attracted to him before because of his hotness but now it's on whole anther level. There is something he's hiding and his actions prove that.

But I am going to find it out. Thinking about him I walk to Hollie's house hoping that I could spend my night there.

This chapter did not turn out well because I had ideas but I wasn't in mood of writing and as I didn't update yesterday I had to update today. So I hope u guys like it and keep reading. The story is getting better now.

Q : what is Lexis hiding? Who was he with in cafe?
