"The celebration was fun, wasn't it hunny?" "Yes yes yes! It was daddy" I exclaimed happily. I could hear mum chuckle beside me. "Ring...ringg...ringgg" Daddy struggled to answer his phone while he was steering the wheel. He took his phone out of his pant's pocket and looked down to see who was calling him.

"JOHN LOOK OUT!" Mummy screamed. But it was too late, the car in front was millimetres away from hitting us. It's flashing car lights blinding me. Seconds later, it hit the front of our car, sending our car flipping backwards and crashing with a loud boom. That's when everything blacked out and I screamed.

"Kay, kay, you okay? wake up!" I was jolted away by Brandon's worried voice. Uncontrollable, salty tears started to drip down my face. "Don't worry, it's just a dream, you'll be alright. You're fine, you're fine" , he coaxed. He knew exactly what dream i had. It was a dream that's been haunting me for years but still, I could never fully get over it. That's why I sometimes feared riding cars.

Brandon reassured me along the way with that sweet dimpled smile of his. It made me feel a lot better.

I couldn't help but gaze at him and admire how defined his features were. Like a human that god wanted to put extra effort in. He's lip's tinted red, were plump and moist. I often wondered what it would feel like against mine. He's eyelashes long and luscious, alongside he's sky blue eyes that could hold you captive with it's gaze. Yes, I have a crush on my childhood best friend. I can't help it, he's everything that I could want in a guy.

He noticed me staring and sneaked a smile. Gosh, I was in love.

We walked up to the school gates and soon parted ways, he had he's group of friends and I had mine. I walked up to Clarrisa and we started chatting about our weekend. That was when I saw her, the new girl. She had long luscious brunette hair, thick lashes but natural, had a walk that said she was confident but approachable and she finished off with a kind, warm smile plastered on her face.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I was in a rush and didn't look where i was going and-" a kid with glasses and clothes that looked like he got off from the kid's section blurted. He had fallen right in front of new girl, with his books scattered everywhere. Everybody expected the new girl to just walk off and sway away, I also got ready to go over and help the poor kid but instead the new girl smiled at him and helped him up as well as gather his books. Not only was she pretty on the outside, but so was she on the inside.

I couldn't help but notice Brandon admiring her from a distance. I also couldn't help but notice the little needle of jealousy that had started to form within me.
