Her Brown hair whips over her face as her honey- coloured eyes roll in sarcasm. I love it when she does that. "Earth to Draco," she says as she waves her hand in my face. "Oh sorry, forgot you were there," I utter. The school bell rings, indicating our first lesson- Maths. We give each other a quick grin before getting back to our places.
"So, what is 6 x 8?" Her arm shoots up before the question's even finished. I look at her admiringly as she gives me a wink. I chuckle to myself. Without even thinking my arm finds its way up. I give her a look which says this is me challenging you. Instantly, she flashes a mischievous grin back at me.
"Miss Granger." I place my hand down in defeat. Darn it. "48 Miss," she exclaims with her whole body up straight. "Well done, Miss Granger." She goes back to teaching as I zone out and start day-dreaming about Hogwarts and magic and spells and potions. I can't wait. Nobody knows about me but Hermione. She's the only one I ever told and ever will. That's why dad was angry at me the other day. He doesn't know I told her, he just knows that were friends and let me tell you, he is not happy about that. But right now, I don't really care. We've been best friends ever since the beginning of primary school. We both had no friends and were ignored by everyone else so we just became friends. Ever since then we've been close. She tells me everything as do I. I wish I had a family like her. Two loving parents who adore her and would do anything for her. Unlike mine. She understands my pain and what I'm going through so she never says anything about my 'family' unless I bring it up.
Which is fine by me.
