Zak's POV
Aaron's talk did worry me and it made be investigate on Nina. I didn't find much due to time but I found out she was an outcast in her family, I yelled and belittled her something promised I wouldn't do, I hurt her.
Now she was gone and I didn't know where she was, I decided to contact her family and speak to them. I wonder if they miss her at all, I'd like to know the real Nina and who made her become that way.

A month flew by and I was settling at my new job easy, I was placed in the Drug and Alcohol section which I loved. I could help people who had been in my situation between drunk and high of their face or have been abused by either on of them. I was finally making myself a life, I moved into a little house it was small but just what I needed. I brought a new car so Zak wouldn't know my car, I changed my number sour never hear from him again.
Every now and then I'd miss him, I kept his number and on my bad nights I'd ring and he'd answer just saying 'hello'. I hung up and cried, I remember our last conversation and him hurting me I never pictured Zak as a man I'd fear. I let him in only for him to break me, I was a fool a fool in love.
"Ni?" I turned to Sue who was clocking on.
"Hey Sue!" I gave her a hug.
"How is everything? You settling in well?" She was up at emergency and I was a few wards away from her.
"Amazing, I still can't believe I'm here." I nodded my head and realised how lucky I am to have been pulled away from my old life.
"You don't smile like you used to" she raised her eyebrow, I could feel her eyes burn on my head.
"You miss him?" He moved my hair out of my face and she caught me shredding a tear.
"I fucking do, but I can't allow that behaviour. I've been treated like shit for my whole life and I thought he was different!" I slammed down on the desk and grunted.
"Look from his side he had a reason to worry, didn't you hear of that girl who stole his heart?"
"No" I shook my head knowing she needed to tell me now, or I'll explode.
"He had someone named Tia and I think she was like you, lost, struggling but he found hope for her and he let her in and for Zak Bagans that was a massive thing. His show had just started to go well and he thought the universe finally sent him something good but that wasn't the issue."
She sighed. "She stole from him, took everything he own and left him with one of Zak's old friends. That's why he doesn't trust so easily, and would've freaked out once he put two and two together why do you think Zak spends his time in strip clubs? Put the pieces together" she held out her hands weighing them from side to side, I just zoned out knowing Zak was just like me. Had a broken heart and made sure he protected it.
Let's be honest I never told Zak everything, I hid a lot of my past away so I probably gave him something to freak about but I'd never hurt him, maybe it was time to face him and maybe face my family.
I left work and headed to the shops to buy some groceries, I saw Aaron buying food and I went up to him.
"Hey" I nudged him softly.
"He- oh Nina" he looked shocked and stood back.
"I'm not that scary" I giggled.
"Sorry you just surprised me, how are you?" He didn't look like he cared.
"Okay I think, how's Zak?" I glanced away.
"He's a mess, he is really sorry but Nina I caused that argument" he exhaled. "I was worried maybe Zak thought you where another Tia and I tried to warn him but you are completely different, he loves you" he bowed his head in disappointment.
"What!" I caused everyone around us to stop and glare.
"I'm really sorry Nina" he looked like his beaten himself up about it.
"I don't need this, not now" I went to the registers and paid for my stuff and quickly got home. I needed to clam down, be by myself. I need to think this through, who was this Tia?
