My Best Friend, The Player. Chapter 3.

In this chapter, i will be going through the days of the week that Callum is away and how Katie is feeling. MONDAY:

Today is the day i have to say goodbye to Callum and not see him for a whole week. I know it is only for a week, but we have spent nearly everyday together for the past 17 years! Holidays are different because i have been able to prepare myself. But this is a total shock for me and i don't like it at all.

We stood at the gate at the airport and said our goodbyes. Callum gave his parents a hug and they said good luck as it was a big basketball tournament. He finally got to me and gave me a huge hug, almost sufficating me! But i didn't mind as it felt like he was protecting me. He said that he would call me everyday and we could video chat if i wanted to. I just put on a brave face before i started crying.

Then, he was gone. The doors were closed and he was boarding the plane.

TUESDAY:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was a school day and i felt really energetic. So, i put on a pair of jogging bottoms and a t-shirt and went for a run.

I was running around the park when i was changing the song on my ipod and suddenly, i ran into to someone!

I looked up at the person while yanking my headphones out. He was tall, dark haired and handsome. He was about my age, maybe 2 years older.

" I'm SO sorry!"

 " It's fine, are you okay?" he asked.

" Yeah i was just in a world of my own!"

" You dropped this," he said picking up my ipod that was on the floor.

" ohh.. thanks!"

There was an awkward silence, as we both looked from the floor to each other.

" my name's Tom by the way!" he said, breaking the silence.

" I'm Katie."

" listen, i have these two tickets to see this new movie tomorrow night and i don't have anyone to go with,"

" Carry on," I said smiling.

" Well, i know we have just met and everything..but..., would you like to go with me?"

" yeah, sure!"

" Maybe we could go to dinner and get to know each other a bit more?!"

"Sounds good!" i said excitedly.

" i'll meet you at the cinema at 7?"

"cool!"

And with that, i jogged away having just agreed to a date with a total stranger...ohh god what have i just done!

TUESDAY AFTERNOON:

I talked to Callum today. He seems good, but i know that he is missing me, i could hear it in his voice. It's kind of sad knowing that he is all the way in England (probably sleeping with loads of british girls) and i'm in  the US, being all emotional and just agreeing to a date with a total stranger!

I went to the mall today to find myself something to wear to my cinema date with Tom, when i bumped into Callum's mom Trudi,

" Hey!" she screamed as she saw me.
