Gravelington, England
10 May 1888
It had been a wonderful few weeks getting to know my husband more, there was no drama and he proved to her everyday what a wonderful husband he could be and still there was that shameful look in his eyes and every time Gabriella would notice she would tell him that he needed to forgive himself because she had already forgiven him.
"Guess who?" a masculine voice whispered in her ears when her eyes we're suddenly covered by someone else's hands. A smile formed on her face and she couldn't help as she rolled her eyes at her husband, "I don't know it must be the most handsome man I have had the pleasure of knowing...Samuel?" a scoff was heard when she was finally able to see again.
"Samuel, not me your husband?" he demanded as he spun her around.
The smirk on her face caused him to smile as well, "Well you're okay looking, I suppose" she shrugged and she couldn't help the laugh that escaped her mouth when his face dropped. Grabbing hold of his hand smiling softly up at him, "How can I love another when I only have eyes for you...although one day when we do have a son I might say something a little different" Andrew smiled wrapping his arms around her waist.
"That's understandable after all he will be as handsome as me" he winked.
Gabriella rolled her eyes, "I think he will be even more handsome" she winked back.
Since it was the weekend Andrew thought it would be a nice idea to have a picnic in their garden down by the lake but what she didn't expect was for Samuel to also be there as well with another woman who looked a little younger than him.
"I thought it would be nice to do something with Samuel and his bride to be, this is Imogen Francis and they will be getting married in just over a few weeks" he smiled as they stood in front of the couple. Gabriella smiled at the young girl, giving her a hug as she said hello.
Turning to look at Samuel who didn't have a smile on his face not until he turned to see Gabriella looking straight at him, she found it odd that he was acting this way in front of his fiancé surely he should be staring at her with some much love, affection and admiration for the woman.
Instead it looked as if he didn't want to even speak to her, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Gabriella how about we go take a walk and leave the men to talk business as they normally do" Imogen managed to smile slightly at her in return before she nodded her head.
"I told you they would get on wonderfully" Andrew said to one of his good friends in which Samuel just rolled his eyes in return. "As long as it means she doesn't have to speak to me" he shrugged causing Andrew to frown but he couldn't help but notice how his friend would often stare at the girl when he thought he wasn't looking.
Samuel obviously liked her but didn't want people to think so, for him there was a woman he was already in love with and he too was arranged to marry. Andrew just hoped like him and his wife that they would fine love and happiness together.
"So tell me, how did you and Samuel meet?" she questioned.
Imogen bit her lip as she stayed silent for a little while, "I first met Samuel when I was thirteen I was by the fields sitting under a tree reading a book, my dog running about the field and that's when I noticed him. I thought he was the most handsome man I had ever seen...I knew he probably wouldn't ever notice me like that" she explained quietly as if she thought he would be able to hear her.
Gabriella smiled as she saw the love the girl had in her eyes for the man, "I also knew he wouldn't go for someone as young as me...I've never told anyone this before" she then said looking up at Gabriella who continued to smile back.
