The hot,beating sun hit their faces."Ahhh,"sighed Tsunami."The we haven't seen for years!""It's only been five weeks'Tsunami"Starflight said,amused."You have just been under the canopy for five weeks.Not years." He added,grinning."I know that I'm not stupid.I just haven't been used to being under the canopy."Tsunami said,clearly unamused."Well,you could've gone to one of the sunning platforms during sun time."Said Glory,joining in with Starflight in teasing Tsunami."THATS FOR RAINWINGS NOT SEAWINGS.LIKE ME." Tsunami snapped back,while smashing her tail into the tree next to her,cracking it in half,then falling over.Sunny laughed and in return got a pleased look from Starflight."Look," Sunny said."All three of the moons will be full,since the sun is much brighter than usual." "Do you know what that means?"Clay said nervously."It means a brightest night."Everyone's eyes widened."Which means,Scarlet is looking for us."He finished.Sunny shook with fear.Tsunami's claws clenched with anger.Starflight crouched into a defensive stance.Clay's tail twitched back in forth.Glory growled and shot venom onto a birch tree."W-we shouldn't w-worry.She's probably n-not looking for us anyw-ways right?" Sunny said ,stammering."She can't still be mad ca-"But before Sunny could finish,they heard a thump behind them,followed by a long hiss,than a scream.They all turned to see what happened,and to all of their dismay,they saw a dark red Skywing,talons covered in blood,and standing above the brutally murdered,Fatespeaker.Sunny screamed as though she was the one being killed.Scarlet looked up,a pleased and sinister grin on her face.She looked back down,and Fatespeaker moaned slightly.Scarlet abruptly looked down again,lifted her foot,stomped on her throat,extended her talons,and ripped out her throat.Fatespeaker's eyes rolled back into her head,her tongue lolled out to the side,tail twitching furiously,then it stopped.Scarlet laughed,and have them a look that said, What are you gonna do about it? Sunny kept screaming and lunged at Scarlet.Scarlet looked surprised and didn't have time to react.Sunny slashed wildly,eyes closed.Scarlet screamed as one hit her snout.She swiped her claws at Sunny.Sunny dodged the blow and slid under her stomach,claws extended.Blood poured out from Scarlet's underbelly.She crumpled to her knees and formed her lips to end her life with a howl of rage.Silence.Sunny stood in front of the corpse,staring at her blood stained talons.She broke down in tears,sobbing,wings folding slowly around her.Her friends were frozen in shock.Starflight was the only one to step forwards.He put one wing around Sunny and whispered,"It's alright.Its gonna be alright." Starflight blindly reached for her talons.He picked them up and wiped blood on his claws."We're all killers on the inside."Sunny's sobbing continued,but it slowed a little.They all came over and wiped blood on their claws,then hugging Sunny."Cmon," said Glory."We should bury Fatespeaker and burn Scarlet." She spat out the word Scarlet as if it were a rotten scavenger. Clay dig a big hole and everyone helped to carry Fatespeaker into the hole.Sunny put a few small tulips in the grave,then pushed the dirt back over her. Then,suddenly,Sunny whirled around and shot a burst of flames at Scarlets corpse.She breathed heavily,then walked up to her and kicked her flaming body over the cliff.Nothing but a hollow,empty thud after a minute. She walked over to Starflight and leaned into his side."A cave." Said Clay softly,also pointing out the dark storm clouds rolling in.They all went to the cave and picked their corners.Glory slept on a bed of leaves in the corner. Tsunami slept in a little pool lined with leaves.Clay slept in a mud puddle with only his nostrils protruding from the mud.Starflight went into a corner and set a pile of leaves ablaze.Sunny curled up next to Starflight and snuggled into the curve of his body.Starflight put one wing over Sunny and breathed deeply.He put his head on his talons and fell asleep.Sunny took one last glance at the sky before it got consumed by the dark clouds.She buried her head deep into Starflight's wings and fell asleep. In the morning, Sunny woke up first. She lifted up Starflight's wing gently and put it next to him. He shivered at the damp coolness that rushed quickly toward him without Sunny's warmth. Sunny carefully put a pile of leaves next to him, and then with a small burst of flames, set the pile on fire. She slowly walked over to where they had buried Fatespeaker, and a few stray tears rolled down her face. She sat down and stared at it blankly, when she looked over and spotted two moose. She flew over and slashed one with her back talons and the other one with  her front talons. She very lightly blew a couple flames at them, enough to scorch the hairs and cook the meat a little bit but not so much that it burnt it to a crisp. She carried both back to the cave and set them in the middle. Clay's nose twitched hungrily and his head shot up at the smell. He accidentally splashed mud onto Glory, and in return, got a very red looking dragon and a smack on the head. Tsunami woke up due to the loud "OW" from Clay. Starflight got up and stumbled over to where he smelled the moose. He bent down his head and took a bite. The others joined him and took a bite. After Sunny had her fill, she went over to the cliff and looked down. She wished she hadn't. Her stomach flipped upsidown when she saw Queen Scarlet's bones on the ground. She turned away quickly and walked back to the cave where Starflight was. She leaned into his side and let out a deep sigh. She looked up at Starflight who still had the bandages around his eyes. Poor Starflight. Ever since he became blind he could hardly know if he was going to run into something or not. But now that they were out of the rainforest, there were less obstacles and he could fly better. No one said anything that morning. Until they saw three Icewings flying their way. And they were spraying their frostbreath in every direction.
