Chapter 5

My sleep stayed troubled by thoughts of him. His eyes, his voice, his soul that seemed to plant itself into my sub-conscience and hold on for all that humanity is worth.
I tossed and turned in an undecided sleep the entire night. When I did manage to drop off to sleep it had to be around 3 in the morning at least. He had somehow implanted himself so deep in my mind my dreams revolved around his entire being.
My dream felt so real but I knew it was nothing but a dream. It had the haze of non-reality surrounding it and I knew in an instant it was my imagination causing me to be in a land I had only created with my mind.

It was night in my dream and it wasn't just the normal night where the light from the moon and the stars light a path for you to see. It was as if a dark cloud had covered any existent light and changed it to dark. Deep woods surround me with branches that tugged at my skin and clothes. They stood dark and tall and created no path for which you could escape on.
I wandered through them and heard nothing but the creaks of the wind pushing itself against the lifeless branches. It felt like hours of pure wondering with no disturbance. It was very unusual. When I came to a crossroads I stopped. There was a sign it pointed in 4 directions. Each said something different than what the average sign would say. It didn't say a place, it seemed to give me a choice.
The arrow that was pointing the way I had come said 'the dead end of your old life'. It made no sense. The second that pointed to the left of me said 'would you find death easier'. The third that pointed to my right said 'trapped for eternity'. The last and the scariest said 'care to accept the kiss'.
My mind is mental. How could I have thought of anything like that.
"So which of my paths will you take?" Whispered into my ear but when I turned there was nothing. I knew the voice. When you have heard that voice once you will be able to tell it again in a instant.
"Which ever path I choose!" I shouted into the nothing. Even my dreams are annoying me now. I decided to turn back around and walk the direction i had come in but when I did there was just pitch black. I swear there was some form of direction before. But now there was nothing.  Well seeing as I couldn't take that one I decided to turn right. I'm not sure why but it seemed like the easiest choice.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" The voice whispered in my ear again.
"Yes" I said not turning around to freak myself out by there being nothing there.
"Suit yourself...this is going to be fun...remember to run." The voice got quieter and the whispere evaporated into the wind. I turned and began walking the direction for which I said I would follow and the world crumbled around me. I fell deeper and deeper into nothing surrounded by the honey dew laugh dripping evil around me.
