Gone But Not Forgotten

So many years have come and gone

Hundreds if you count then

Some folks forgotten many years

Now somebody's looking for them

I'll bet they're happy knowing

That some of us still care

Who they were and where they lived

What kind of life they shared

I'm sure that they applaud us

With every gain we make

And Bless us for just caring

Even when we make mistakes

I'm sure they thought when they still lived

No one would even care

Their names would be forgotten

Like they never had been there

They didn't count on folks like us

Persistent as can be

Remembered to never be forgotten.
