Hi guys, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read my story. This is part one and part two will be soon to follow. I hope you all like it! Please comment and share!

This is about Amelia Rose Salvatore, the third of the Salvatore children. This part is about the end of her human life and the beginning of her vampire life.

Remembrance

Stefan stood in the corner, looking at me in utter disbelief and ran his fingers through his perfect hair.

“So what you’re saying is that Katherine, the love of my life, has been seeing my brother behind my back?”

I nodded vigorously, relieved to have gotten it off my chest. But he just laughed. I don’t know what I expected him to do, but certainly not laugh.

“That is absurd! Katherine loves me, and only me. She would never betray me!”

“But she has betrayed you, and I’ll bet she’s betraying you right at this moment!”

“Amelia, you’re thirteen! You do not understand love, or what a relationship entails. Cheating with one’s brother is not something she would ever do, I’m certain of it!”

“Well, she wouldn’t care if it was right or not! That wench cares only for herself and no one else!”

He stared deep into my eyes with a raging fire I’d never seen in them before. “Don’t say a word against Katherine.”

“But don’t you see what she’s doing? What she has done? She has you and Damon wrapped round her perfect little finger, following her like a pair of love sick puppies! And for pity’s sake, haven’t you noticed how she behaves around Damon? Is it not obvious, or are you just too blinded by ‘love’ to see?”

Then he slapped me. It wasn’t a particularly hard slap. Not hard enough to bruise, but hard enough to leave a mark. I expected him to weep and beg for my forgiveness. Fall to his knees in despair. Take back every word he said. The old Stefan would have. But he didn’t. He just kept staring at me with fury and foreign spite.

He picked up his coat and stormed out, slamming the door behind him with such force I was surprised it never came off its hinges. How could he be so foolish? She had such a tight grip on him. But then a delicious thought emerged in my head. What if Damon is already there?  If Stefan saw them together, he would finally know the truth. Oh, what a marvellous thing that would be to witness! But also so heart-breaking for my dearest brother.

I went for a walk by the river, a desperate attempt to clear my head of everything that happened. It was a clear evening, not a cloud in the sky. It was seven in the evening and the full moon was casting a beautiful silver light over the water. The darkness was coming earlier. After all, it was still January. I knelt down by the water side and scooped up some water in my hands and lifted it to my face. I remember

the feeling of the cool water on my face. Feeling replenished, I opened my eyes and my heart nearly stopped for in the water I saw her standing behind me. Katherine.

“Hello, Amelia,” she said with a smile so malicious it made me want to physically slap it off of her smug little face.

“Katherine.” I said, returning the smile. “What brings you hear on this fine evening?”

“I wanted a word with you.”

I studied her closely. She was standing in a rather awkward position; crouched down slightly, bowing her hear forward and staring at me with an icy glare and a victorious look on her face. Almost like a predator poised to attack.
