The beginning

Jordan's POV

I can't believe it. I'm turning 20 yrs old tomorrow and I still haven't found her. My pack needs their luna, i need my mate.. Wherever you are.. I'm going to find you.

"Hey! Are you even listening! Your mom's downstairs looking for you." Chris yelled, snapping me out my thoughts.
"Okay stop I heard you the first time! Go make yourself useful, your the beta of this pack be busy or whatever".I yelled back.
Chris rolled his eyes, grabbed his jacket and left. Before the door closed, mom barged in with handful of papers and books, and she did not look happy.

"Jordan Edward Blake, tomorrow is your birthday, and i want you stop stressing about this mate thing! You will find her don't worry! Now come give mama a hug". She walked around my desk and gave me a kiss on the forehead and gave me a long hug. I admit i felt a little better.
"Mom"
"Mom, you can let go now" i said while gently pushing her away.
"Sweetie, i know it's hard.. Your dad--"
"Mom i get it, dad would've been very proud of me, you don't have to remind me everyday." I snapped

She nodded her head, gave me another kiss on the forehead and left the room. Alright i need to start cleaning up, my tailor will be here soon. I looked down at the paperwork that i haven't started, and on the side was the stuff my mom left on my desk. One envelope stood out the most.. "Mate hunt?" I stared at it confusingly. I gently opened the envelope, this does not look like the ordinary envelope. Right when i opened it, first thing i read was..

"Congratulations! We received your application and you've been invited to join our program".

Oh no.. Mom.. You did not just place my application in this stupid thing. People don't take "mate hunt" serious! It's just a bunch of horny werewolves trying to score as much girls as they could. My mate wouldn't join such thing! I immediately dialled my mom's number.
*ring* *ring*
"Hey sweetie"
"Mom really.. You thought it was necessary"
"Happy birthday hunny! I'm going to take over the pack while your gone! Have a nice trip! Oh and i've asked your beta to pack your things, they're probably done by now. Love you hunny enjoy!!" Mom said happily and before i could say anything she hung up.

I mind linked chris immediately. "Whatever your doing you better stop now" i said sternly
"I'm just doing my job man! And chill out i'm gonna be coming with you! It's gonna be fun!" Chris said excitedly
I groaned and grabbed a fistful of my hair. "Ok fine" i answered quietly.

I grabbed my laptop and searched up all the details about this "mate hunt".
"Chris come to my office now, and bring me coffee. We have some stuff to go through." I asked
"Yes alpha" chris answered politely

Chris walked in the door with two cups of coffee and a tray of cookies. I swear this boy eats too much sugar. He placed the coffee on my desk, pulled up a chair beside me and started munching on his cookies.
"Okay don't get those crumbs around my desk please" i looked at him all annoyed.
"I won't jeez im not a kid" chris mumbled
"Anyways what do you know about this mate hunt thing?" I said changing the subject.
"Jordan i've been there before, its about 125km away from here and it's kinda like a camp thing. There's some activities and all that stuff, its basically about finding your mate but if you don't then just have fun. There's a lot of girls that's for sure" chris giving me smirk.
I laughed and shook my head.
"Chris the only reason why i'm going to this stupid thing is to find my mate, you know how long ive been looking for---" chris cut me off
"Blah blah i know what your gonna say, don't sweat on it man! She'll make her way into your life eventually!" Chris patted me in the back and gave me a reassuring smile.
Just the thought of me meeting my mate makes me all excited about this mate hunt now. I hope she gets invited.
"Wait, chris i want all the mateless women to participate on this program. That's an order" i asked with an alpha voice. I wanna make sure she makes it.
