Week 2: Kaine

"Sapphiri?"

"Who do you think I am?"

"Uh... Saturn Girl?"

"..."

She blasted fire at me.

I deserved that...

The fire hit me in the shoulder.

I got right back up, right before noticing that my arm was severely burned.

"Well, shit."

I spun a web strand, gabbing her by the stomach, then swung her around in a circle.

I had no clue why she had a sudden change of heart, but it couldn't have been a good thing.

I released the web line, sending her flying into a wall. She got back up and threw a fireball at me.

This one hit my leg, causing me to fall to the floor.

My leg was broken...

How the fuck..?

It was a ball of solid ice!

THE FUCKING HELL?!

I extended my left stinger.

"Sorry in advance."

I slashed her cheek, then punched her in the face.

The whole situation was confusing, though.

Why is she evil now?

That question's going to have to wait.

I need to get home.

I jumped inside through an open window, then took my mask off and sat down.

Yay, broken legs...

Lucy wasn't home, she was probably out doing something like overdosing on coffee.

I would stop her, but I wasn't in a condition to search an entire city.

The fracture was somehow just a hairline one.

Well, that means I'm still gonna be going out and beating up people...

Then, I heard a knock on the door.

I got up and opened it.

"Hey, Kaine!"

"Moody?"

"Yep!"

He zoomed inside and sat on a couch.

"So, how's life?"

"I just broke my leg after finding out that Jayla's clone is evil."

"Wait, what?"

"Sapphiri is evil."

"That isn't good..."

"Of course it isn't..."

"It's been nice talking, but I have to go."

Moody zoomed out the door.

I sat right back down.

That's a slightly abnormal day for me.

Things were about to go from that to worse.
