THE START

LAURA'S POV

Laura turned her camera on and adjusted her lighting. She wiped her hands on her joggers and headed over to her chair. She couldn't even look into the camera without being nervous, let alone post anything on Youtube. She lost a bet to Jo, this was the only reason she had to.

She took a deep breath and smiled for the camera. Laura wore a plain white t-shirt and gray joggers and had tied her long brown hair up into a high ponytail.

"Hey everyone! My name is Laura and welcome to my Youtube channel," she said as she held her arms out.

"I'm going to start off by telling you all a bit about myself. I'm 19 and I'm currently taking a gap year. My best friend Jo and I have travelled across Europe for the past 6 months but we have decided to stay in London as we are both planning to go to university here."

She looked at her phone to see her notes: *interests, content and schedule*

"I enjoy playing football, singing, reading and doing skits so I'm sure there's going to be quite a variety of content on this channel." She had a habit of talking with her hands when she's nervous so she had been flinging them around the whole time, Laura became conscious of her actions and immediately stopped.

"I'll be posting every Saturday and Wednesday with new content every week, so be sure to click that like button and subscribe down below!" She said whilst pointing downwards.

"That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed the video! Bye!" She said with a smile. Laura immediately took a long breath in and out, as if she had kept it in the entire video. She hopped over to the camera to stop recording and immediately began editing as it was over 2am.

"Damn you, Jo," Laura said as she finished rendering the video. She immediately grabbed her phone and dialed her.

"Hey loser, I just finished editing the video. It'll be up soon"

"Hahaha I hope this gets to 500 views so you'll continue uploading. I honestly don't get why you haven't posted anything; you'd be such a great Youtuber, Laur."

"I just don't think people will enjoy the content I put out, I'm all over the place and I don't actually fit into a Youtuber category. I'm not specifically a gamer, or a cover artist or a booktuber. I honestly am not looking forward to having more than 10 views" Laura said as she covered her eyes with her arm.

"You'll love it, I'm sure." Jo said before saying goodnight and hanging up.

Boy it's going to be a long day tomorrow.
