WHAT A COINCIDENCE

SIMON'S POV

Simon woke at half past 3 in the afternoon to JJ's awful rapping in the hall across his room. He would be excused today because it was his birthday. The sunlight glazed his maroon sheets as he grabbed his phone to check his messages. Today was an editing-packed day, he had up to 9pm before having to upload as the boys had planned a night out at a local club for JJ's birthday.

After about 15 minutes replying to messages on his phone, he got up and took a quick shower and brushed his teeth. He put on a random t-shirt and his Sidemen joggers and headed down for some food.

As he entered the kitchen, he saw JJ dancing while pouring himself some cereal. Simon snuck up to him and gave him a big hug, screaming "Happy birthday you prick!" JJ yelped and spilled milk onto the island. Simon couldn't help but laugh at his face. "For fucks sake Simon," JJ said but still laughing. He quickly helped JJ clean the island off of milk, whilst chatting about what was going to happen tonight at the club.

Immediately after they finished cleaning, Josh and Vik entered the room with a birthday cake that spelt "Happy birthday JJ!" "What is this?" JJ said with a smile, looking quite touched by the action. Simon noticed that it didn't have candles, which could only mean one thing -- he leapt just in time before Vik smashed the cake into JJ's face. They all burst out laughing as JJ wiped his eyes and said "For fucks sake" – that was the second time in a span of less than 10 minutes, must be a record.

Simon didn't want to be part of this mess as he just showered, so he quickly crept out of the kitchen with JJ's bowl of cereal and headed upstairs to edit. All he could hear was Vik running around repeatedly yelling "no" – probably because JJ was trying to get him back for the cake. Nonetheless, he had loads to edit, so he had to get to work.

Simon looked at his watch, it was about a quarter to 7 and he had just uploaded the three videos he had worked on. Yawning, he clicked on the trending tab just to see what's new. He had been scrolling down a while until he finally saw a pretty girl with bright green eyes in a video titled 'Welcome to LaurasLife'

'Hmm that looks cool', he thought. He clicked on the video and his eyes met hers. She was beautiful.

"Hey everyone! My name is Laura and welcome to my Youtube channel", she said. He watched the whole video whilst having his hand on his chin, and his eyebrows knotted together. Before Simon knew it, it was over – 'What a shame, such a short video. I would have wanted to watch more of her', he thought before subscribing, liking and closing the tab.

'She likes football, she sings and reads too. WOW. I guess I have to wait 'til Wednesday to see what she's all about', Simon thought as he grabbed his wallet and called for the others to head out.

LAURA'S POV

SITUATION : Jo has invited Laura to her boyfriend, Connor's gig. Connor is a DJ for Club 45 in London.

"Its only had like 20 views Jo, I don't need to plan my other video. No one is going to watch it," Laura said.

She felt herself relax at the thought, yet somewhat saddened that she now doesn't have an excuse to actually start a channel. She had wanted to be a Youtuber ever since she saw some Sidemen videos back in 2013. They seem to have so much fun together and it made her crave a friendship like theirs. One of her dreams was to do a football video with them, yet she knew it would never come true -- even if she does now live in London.

Since she was 11, she had played football for every school she's been in, mainly because she was one quite good at it. Laura was from Chicago, yet she had only lived there for four years, her high school years.  Before that, she had lived in South Africa, Singapore and also the Czech Republic. Her parents thought that travelling around the world would be a great experience for all of them, even if it did cost Laura some of her most cherished friendships. She had always found a way to cope with it, still keeping in contact with some of her friends from elementary school.

"The bet will last until Tuesday Laura, we agreed on this," Jo said in a sing-songy voice as she does her hair.

Laura rolled her eyes and checked her phone. It lit up to dozens of Youtube comments and subscribers and all she could do was gasp.

'What the actual hell is going on?' she thought as she checked her channel stats.

Laura turned wide eyed as she saw that her channel had gone up to 400 subscribers with 3000 views on her welcome video. She was baffled at all the comments she received:

'OMG who is this chick and why did Simon subscribe to her????'

'She's super pretty omg is this simon's new gf?'

'Like if Simon brought you here'

'Miniminter's got a bangin' girlfriend'

'Guys this is Laura's channel, why are you all talking about Simon??? It's not even confirmed that they're dating! All he did was subscribe!!'

She could not believe what she had just read. 'Simon? Like Miniminter Simon?' Laura thought before shouting for Jo.

'OH MY GOD LAURA THIS IS A DREAM YOU'RE GOING TO BE A SUCCESSFUL YOUTUBER AND YOUR FAVORITE SIDEMEN NOTICED YOU!' Jo said as she pranced out of Laura's apartment.

"There's no way this is real. Fuck, I gotta get drunk to believe any of this is happening," Laura said before heading out to the club.
