The Last Light of Hope

Chaper 4

"Well I found these keys" I say smirking.

Kelsey smirks back and says "Yeah those will be really useful if we can find the car lets go"

We walk out of the ally and the roads looked completely abandoned.
"Okay let's hurry because this place is giving me the creeps" I say quietly.
I finally inspect the keys and I notice oh it has one of those keychain thingy where you can lock and on lock the car from a ways away.

I press down the button and a car immediately starts to honk.
"Shoot" Kelsey says.

I look to where Kelsey was looking and I finally noticed I just totally gave our position away.

I should just hold up a sign at this point that says "zombies come over here free zombie chow!"

Kelsey and I make a break for it or the car I unlock it so we can get in once we make it there.
I finally don't regret doing track because otherwise I would be dead right now.

"Kelsey" I yell as we run to the truck. "Here you probably have more experience driving then I do." I say tossing her had the keys.

"Okay Hannah I am going to start the car you need to distract them."
"Okay" I say as I start moving away from the car.

I know that I am going to need to lead the zombie as far away as I can because once Kelsey starts this car it's going to be bad.

I start throwing glass and making as much noise as possible but still running and its not working I only have barely have of the zombies attention.

Then I hear it..... screaming it couldn't be Kelsey because she is back there in the car and the screaming is in front of me.

The I see what's going on. Their is this middle age lady running around screaming. There are zombies all around here and she has captured my zombies attention.

I want to help her but I know she is screwed there are too many. I start running back to Kelsey. I turn back to get one more look of that lady.

I see she is looking at me and she screams bloody murder as a zombies mouth clamps down on her neck.

Her eyes widen and she yells her last words to me "RUN" and then she collapsed.

I turned around and sprinted to Kelsey and the car I herd that it started a while ago.

The passenger door was open so I hopped in and before I could buckle in or close the door we sped off.

"That was close" I said out of breath. "Too close" Kelsey said agreeing.
