Jess's P.O.V
"C'mon guys! We're gonna be late!" I shouted up the stairs. The kids have school today, and Jason left me again to sort them out. "Mum, seriously stop stressing.." Justin groaned, zipping up his jacket. "Yeh? Well if your father didn't leave so early in the morning, we might actually get sorted.." I hissed, zipping up Jenny's coat. "Jeez mum, anyone would think you hated him..." Justin snapped, grabbing his bag and walking to the car. "Stop giving me attitude Justin..." I sighed, strapping Jenny into her car seat. "No mum, you need to realize that dad is the only reason we have a house!" Justin exclaimed, slamming his fists against the car door. "Justin calm down!" I shouted, pulling the car up to his school. "You know what mum? I don't even know what's happened... We use to be the greatest family around. Now? Now its like we hardly know each other..." He whispered before turning on his heals and heading for the door. I sighed in anger. Maybe he was right, maybe this family is falling apart. I mean Jason's hardly home, he doesn't tell me where he is going half of the time. Maybe he's cheating on me? Maybe he's found someone else? But, that's so unlike Jason. He couldn't be cheating right? I dropped Jenny off to nursery before driving down to the mall. I wanna do something special for me and Jason tonight. It seems so long we've done something. Last time we had a meal together? Properly? Was just after Jenny was born. Jason wanted to take me out as a thank you for giving him such a beautiful baby girl. That was 6 years ago. I just finished paying for the ingrediants, putting the stuff into the boot of the car when a guy in a dark leather jacket walked up to me, pushing me against the door. "You better whatch your back, and that husband of yours..." He hissed, his grip on my arm tightnened, causing me to yelp in pain. "I'm not scared of you.." I spat, removing my arm from his grip. "You better be... I'm your worst nightmare..." He smirked, punching me in the stomach before running off into the distance. I hunchted over, grabbing my stomach. I wiped away my tears before setting myself back in the car. What was that all about? It couldn't be something to do with Jason right? Because Jason doesn't do that anymore. Does he? Or has he been lying to me all these years? I sighed, making my way back home. I sent Jason a message, asking him to pick the kids up from school. I need to know what's going on.
Jason's P.O.V
I looked at my phone, seeing I had 2 new messages.Jess;
I just bumped into someone unexpectedly, you better have a good explanation... Pick up the kids on your way home...xox
well I don't know who she could of bumped into.
unknown:
you better keep that dog of a wife under control McCann, or bad things will happen;)
I chucked my phone down on the table in anger. "Jason what's wrong?" I looked up to see Ryan standing there. "Someone's after my wife..." I hissed, standing up form my chair. "Who?" He asked, a hint of anger in his voice. Ryan never stopped liking Jess, which is why he's so protective over her. "If I knew I would have killed 'em by now!" I shouted, my blood boiling slightly. "Jason, go home to Jess... Ill sort something out.." Ryan sighed, knowing if he went any further he'd end up dead. I nodded slightly, grabbing my car keys before rushing out the door. I pulled up outside Jenny's school, running in to get her. "Hey daddy!" She smiled, running towards me. I bent down to her hight, allowing her to hug me. "I missed you daddy, you're never home.." She sighed, grabbing my hand as we walked to the car. "Everything's gonna change baby girl I promise.." I smiled, strapping her in. "We're going to get Justin, then we'll go home and have a family meal.." I smiled, driving off to Justin's school. I pulled up to see him standing there, chatting to some girl. I smirked, knowing that at his age, that was me and Jess. She was the first girl that wasn't scared of me, wasn't dropping her pants for me. Yet, she was the only girl that could understand me, make me feel better about myself. "Hey dad.. " I didn't realize how long I'd been sat there until Justin pipped up. "Alright son?" I asked, driving off towards our house. "Yes, how was work?" My grip tightened on the steering wheel. "Ill talk to you about it later..." I shot him a look telling him to drop it. We finally made our way home. I helped Jenny out the car while Justin got my bag from the boot. "What;s going on dad?" Justin whispered, pulling me aside. "Your mum's in danger Justin... Someone's after her, trying to get her to get to me... I need you to look out for her.." I mumbled, walking inside. "Jason?" Jess shouted from the kitchen. I gulped slightly, making my way into the kitchen. "yes baby?" I asked, trying to act like I didn't know what was going on. "I, I bumped into someone today... Told me I had to watch out... Jason what's going on?" She asked, her voice getting louder. "Nothing! Nothing's going on!" I exclaimed, walking towards her. "Then why did I have someone come up to me and pin me against the car! Threatening me that something's gonna happen! Why did he punch me! Jason!" She shouted, punching my chest. "Baby I kept this away from you because I was protecting you... I'm sorry.." I whispered, looking into her eyes. "Sorry? Jason you fucking lied to me!" She shouted, turning on her heals to finish the cooking. "Mum, he's just trying to protect you!" Justin butted in, closing the door behind you. "You knew all about this?" She hissed, turning to Justin. "Mum please!" He shouted, standing beside me. "And you got our son involved! 'What's wrong with you Jason! For god sake!" She shouted, pushing past me. "Jess please..." I walked after her, into our bedroom. "Jason... I didn't care that you did it... The fact that you got our child involved! That's taking it too far! What if something happens to him huh Jason? What then? Does this mean Ryan's been lying too?" She shouted, running her hands through her hair in frustration. "I'm sorry..."
