My love why have you left me?

Forsaken me to this fate?

Did you fear the coming season

It’s icy winds so cruel to us

Were you crushed did you fall

Whatever your reasons may be

You crushed me that day

When you chose you were not for me

Now I lie here listening

to the whispers in the trees

But a two-legger has found me

It is time to flee.

Curse the Two-Leggers!

And their unconscious wanting

To relieve us of our lives

They know not our strife to survive

A running leap down the sand

a quick breath before the terror sets in

My heart, I have now realized my mistake

I will see you sooner than I knew it to be

A tumultuous tumble through trees and vines

Once my home now my own demise

Sand and dirt cocoons me

Like the embrace you and I once shared

And now it becomes my eternal bed

A warm, dark place to rest

My dear I shall see you soon

Apart nevermore
