The wolf was back. He was back to torment me even in my most protected thoughts. The wolf that killed my parents, the wolf that killed me, well the old me.
I stare at him my unshed tears burning as anger courses through me. I wake up as soon as he jumps.
Present Day:
I stare at the wolf, his dark eyes filled with malice, which I knew reflected in mine as well. He bares his sharp canines and I hiss.
I was playing with him, watching as his huge form dives at me and I side step him, shoving his weight to the side.
He growls annoyed at this little game, I guess not everyone found this game as entertaining as I did.
I grin as I wield a silver dagger, his eyes darkening with no doubt fear.
"Come on little doggy I can wait for centuries but I can't say the same for you" I say snarkily, my accent laced in my words.
He snarls and jumps. I laugh gleefully as I spin cutting his chest. He thuds as he lands and I waste no time. I lift his massive head and horizontally cut on the soft underside of his neck, blood runs down my fingers, the feeling sending chills through my body.
"Vile creature" I hiss wiping the blood off my dagger as he changes. I leave a small parting gift on his forehead, no one will claim this death but me.
I pass through the human crowd. They were all unaware of the crime that had just happened only a minute before, right under their noses.
Humans could be so blind as to what was out in the real world. Supernatural creatures lived everywhere and still they were blinded by things they didn't want to see.
Granted there were humans out there that knew our secret and that alone could end an entire race.
It was vital to keep our world hidden from humans but I was beyond caring. I was one of the original vampires and I could never be killed.
I walk through the crowd my dark as midnight hair blowing around my pale features, my dark eyes captivating to anyone that looked my way.
Fear pulsed through the air in waves and I grin my hunger becoming obvious. My sharp teeth dig into my bottom lip and I walk toward the addicting smell.
I see a man have a tall girl in a choke hold, his voice evident with anger. I was going to enjoy this one. I slam his body off the girl and she takes off running.
He smiles greedily which soon drops off his face as he sees my teeth, and glowing red eyes.
I bite down on his neck, cutting off his pathetic attempts to scream. I drink the fear laced blood greedily, my hunger clinched for the time being.
I let his empty body fall to the ground annoyed at how little blood the human bodies had to offer.
I sigh licking the blood from my lips as I walk home. The blood coursed through my body, sending power rippling through me in waves.
My house loomed on the edge of the line between the Day World and the Night World. Anyone that stepped through to the Night World would not escape me. I was the Gate Keeper of both worlds to who ever was walking through and vice versa.
I open the door and my clan of vampires peer at me through the dark. "Listen up, the wolves are coming more and more each day. I want everyone out and watching the area. Any slip ups and the person has to deal with me." I say enjoying the look of fear crossing their faces.
I nod as they answer with just what I want to hear. "Keller I need to talk to you, somewhere were no one can hear us" Elijah says, he's my second in command.
"Upstairs" I say motioning for him to follow me.
I shut the door to my office and he takes a seat in the chair directly infront of me.
"Go ahead" I say.
"Kiran is getting closer. The word is he's killing more vampires then we are wolves. Vampires are turning up dead in the cities that we have spies in. We have a nark on our hands and they've been giving alot of our plans to the wolves."
I slam my hand down on the desk, the wood not able to take a vampire's strength. "I want the nark found and when you do I want him brought to me."
"I have an idea who it might be, Drake. Remember when he crossed you and you humiliated him infront of everyone. He never got over that, and he definetly has a motive." Elijah says proving that he was a wonderful second in command.
"Bring him we have much to discuss" I say grinning cruelly.
Elijah smiles before he's gone. I lay my wooden stakes out infront of me. A powdery white stake catches my eye, its golden handle flashing in the light.
I lift it and watch as Elijah comes back with Drake in his clutches. I shut the door and Elijah locks his hands in unbreakable vampire handcuffs.
Drake's fear wafts up my nose as I desend towards him, my eyes are dark red. "Now Drake I have heard from my sources that you are the nark telling Kiran, a wolf, our plans."
Drake shakes his head his fear becoming more evident. "I would never side with the wolves, Keller. Whoever told you that I was the nark it's not true."
"I just can't find it in me to believe you, Drake. You even have a motive." I say shaking my head. I step closer and stab the stake through him, proving my reputation as a killer. I would never change.
