My hand freezes on the door knob casting a glance over my shoulder at a sleeping Samajeez. His dark hair hovers over his closed eyes, and his lips are parted as no sound passes through them. Only silence fills the room.

I knew as soon as I opened the door he would be awake, questioning we're I was going. So instead I silently creep back to bed, pulling the covers over my frame.

"We're did you go?" He asks his lips close to my ear.

"I couldn't sleep."

His finger caresses my cheek and he kisses me softly. "The sun will be up in a few hours, go back to sleep."

Did he not just hear me? I couldn't sleep knowing that Thanatos was sleeping under the same house as I was. To say I was scared was an understatement, I was terrified. Anyone who could make someone like Samajeez had to be seriously messed up.

I smile at Samajeez softly, my fingers raking through his hair. "Hmm" He says sleepily, offering me a half smile watching me through half slitted eyes. I kiss the corner off his lips ignoring the feeling that sweeps through me.

"Good to see you're back to normal."

His arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer to his frame. His eyes close once again and I realize he was once more sleeping.

I watch him as he sleeps, his face relaxed, and some would even say peaceful. He looked like an angel but I knew better. I knew what he was capable off. I watch as the sun comes up, the shadows being chased away by beams of light.

Much like those shadows I wondered if I could change Samajeeez. Could I make him good? A plan suddenly hatches in my mind, one that I'm sure was going to work.

"Baby" I whisper kissing his lips roughly. Samajeez's fingers knit themselves into my hair, his tongue fighting for dominance over mine.

"What was that for?" He asks pulling away to look back at me.

"Because you look cute when you sleep" I say ignoring the pang of guilt that washes through me. Oh shut it. If I had anyway to get out of here it was through his heart, or maybe through his lack of one.

His eyebrows draw together as he watches me. "I'm not cute. Dogs are cute, and I am definitely no dog." he says.

"Yes you are"

"No"

"Yes"

And just like that a flirty little banter was started. If everything worked like this had then my plan would run along smoothly.

"Did I bruise your ego?" I question watching as he took in his muscular frame.

"Hello no" he states turning away from the mirror.

"You liar."

He shoots me a glare before he's buttoning up his long sleeved white shirt. "Before I forget we have guests coming. You are to be courteous, and respectful."

"Aren't I always" I say and he smiles lightly at me.

"Your clothes will be set out by Evangeline." Hearing her name gave me hope. Was she okay? I promised myself to go find her later and see how she was doing. After all she had spent the night with Thantos.

"Meet me downstairs for breakfast" he states pulling on his black jacket before disappearing out the door.

I pull on a pair of jeans and a blouse, pulling on sturdy black boots. I head out the door hoping to catch a glance of Evangeline.

"Hey" I call out as I see her red hair.

"Hi" she says shyly. Her eyes are turned down and I see teeth marks on the side of her neck.

"Are you okay?"I ask.

"Yes."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

"Ok" I say shrugging.

Thanatos catches my attention as he waits by a statue, he himself blending in with them. He was so still, so silent.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" He questions. Evangeline shoots me a look before she moves away from me. Once she was far enough out of ear shot Thanatos turns to me.

"I want to offer you a deal. Samajeez is better without you and I know you despise him. This could be for the better, you will finally be free, and I will gain my son's attention once more. You are weak and you make him weak. I am willing to help you escape."

My eyes widen at the deal he was offering. Was it a trap? My face once again returns to one I hope betrayed no emotion.

"No" I say and a sinister look over takes his face.

"You dare say no to me. Nothing will change your mind? Not even if I said a certain green eyed, brown haired man was residing beside Kiran in his quest to find you."

"I'm not scared of you Thanatos. So leave me the hell alone. How dare you threaten me with the talk of my dead mate? Stay away from me."

I turn heading down the stairs refusing to meet Thanatos' cold eyes. Samajeez is bent over his desk, a letter clasped in his hand.

"You need to deal with your father. He just offered me a deal of leaving. I don't know what his plan is but it deals with blind siding you."

Samajeez's eyes burn with anger. He steps away from the desk and just like that Thanatos is stepping off the last stair.

"I put up with this before but I will not any longer. You will pack up your shit and leave my house. I was willing to overlook certain matters but I will no longer sit by."

"When they come for your head I will not stop them, Samajeez. I have warned you on numerous occasions that she will be your downfall. If you want me to leave I will gladly do so. But once I step out of this house I will no longer come to your aid." Thanatos says before he's once again going up the stairs. He shoots me a look over his shoulder and I knew one day he would come after me.
