Danielle and Dash spent the next morning walking along the beach drinking coffees and talking, Danielle found she really did enjoy Dash's company, he was the first man she had really known that she had felt comfortable being in his company.

"So like where are you and Alana from?" Dash asked,

"Don't know, " She shrugged her shoulders, "We grew up in the welfare system which basically sucked, so yeah sorry there isn't really that much to tell you, I'm just happy I was able to keep Alana safe and we got to stay together."

"I'm sorry you had a shitty childhood but look at where you are now, head chef of the awesome The Wire Grill." He grinned, "And like where did you learn to cook as good as you do?"

"Honestly I don't know, just like picked up work wherever I could and I guess I picked up things from working in kitchens you know." Danielle explained,

"Yeah but dude like your food, I just can't believe you've never had like any kind of formal training."

"I looked into some courses once but they were way too expensive for me you know, I guess I'm just lucky I like to cook so yeah tried to get work anywhere I could where I had a chance to learn stuff."

"Well whatever you did it certainly worked because damn Dani my normal jeans feel like skinny jeans since you've been working for us." He grinned.

"So what about you? What's it been like growing up with rich parents?" Danielle asked him,

"Basically lots of privileged opportunities waiting at my doorstep." He honestly replied, "Mom and Dad have always allowed us to like do what we wanted, they never pressured us like some of my friends parents did. I know Mom really wanted us to join the orchestra but E and myself were more interested in rock music."

"So how do you go from parents wanting you to join an orchestra to running a bar?"

"Easy I like play the drums and Este, man one day you need to see her play the bass dude it will totally like blow your mind, anyway we just never could find the right mix of people to fit into our band so it never went anywhere, then E came up with idea for the bar and when she showed it to me yeah thankfully she convinced me to buy it with her, so now I own a bar."

"Wow must be nice to have that kind of money to buy your own place." Danielle couldn't help but reply,

"Oh yeah it definitely helped but we still have a decent loan we are paying back to the bank." Dash explained,

"Oh OK," Danielle said, "I used to dream about what it would be like to own my restaurant but then I'd wake up and yeah knew it would never happen."

"Oh come on Dani never say never." Dash said bumping his shoulder against Danielle's shoulder. "The world is your oyster."

"Yeah maybe," Danielle laughed, "So do you miss playing your drums?"

"Oh I still play from time to time but surprisingly I really love running The Wire Grill and turns out I'm really good at sniffing out new talent."

"I played the guitar a long, long time ago." Danielle told him,

"Really? so why did you stop?" Dash asked,

Danielle thinks back to when she was younger, to a happier time living with Mr and Mrs Haim.

"There was this older couple that looked after us when I was very young, actually they had adopted Alana and myself, but then were no longer able to look after us. I remember they were so kind to us but I can't remember their faces anymore," Danielle sadly replied, "That's when I played the guitar, but yeah that was like in another life time."
