Logan and I sat at the oak coffee table that I made earlier and ate our dinner. We agreed that we will be taking shifts to guard the house. I tiredly jumped on the platforms to get upstairs to the only bedroom we had. I changed and gladly lept into the soft silk bed and pulled the sheets over me. I began to think about the amazing day that I had and my only friend, Logan. I was trying to think if I had a past before I woke up. Did I have a family before now? Did I live in a community in which many people lived? I didn't know. I could still not remember anything about my past.
I lay still in the bed and stared through the skylight that I made in the ceiling. I admired the stars, twinkling in the light of the waxing crescent. I was less of a skylight and more like a hole in the roof. I sighed and climbed out of the bed. I couldn't sleep so I decided to start drawing a map of what I have seen so far, maybe that could trigger a memory. I pulled out a stick and an ink sack that I found in an abandoned chest. I poured a few drops of ink on the tip of the stick and began to draw a map. I drew the trees, our house and a number of lakes that I encountered on the way. I also drew some of the cave enterences and caves that I bravely entered.
I continued doing this for quite a while, forgetting to keep track of the time. I eventually got tiered and stood up to stretch. I looked through the skylight and tried to predict what time it was using the moon. From the East, the sun was probably halfway through the sky. I decided to try once again to fall asleep. I tossed and turned to make myself comfortable, but I just couldn't sleep. Then I heard something. Thump! "Logan, what was that?" I asked softly. Thump! "Logan, can you hear me?" I asked. Thump! The thumping was getting louder and louder. "Logan!" I cried out. Thump! I couldn't take it anymore. I leaped out of bed and went to the chest to get my sword. "Dang it!" I said. My sword was downstairs with Logan. I ran downstairs and kicked open the door. "Logan!" I yelled.
I stared at the zombie that was heading towards Logan. He was so scared that he fainted as soon as the zombie came inside. I quickly darted towards the sword that was laying at the door, the sword that Logan was using, and snatched it. It was definitely my sword, since it was wooden and had my initials engraved on it (this is not actually possible in the game). I ran towards the decaying being and swung my sword clean through its head and it fell to the ground and died. I walked over to Logan and attempted to wake him up, but he remained lying on the ground. I went outside to the lake and scooped up a handful of ice-cold water. I carefully went back into the house and splashed the water all over him. In a flash, he woke up and jumped to his feet. "Zombie!" he shouted, still a bit drowsy. "Don't worry, the zombie is no more," I said, turning around to confirm. "You can go to bed now, I'll take the next few shifts," I said, patting Logan on the shoulder. He clambered upstairs and went to bed and I put my sword on the table, sitting on the chair next to it.
