Logan and I agreed that it was time for me to go mining for the first time ever and that he would stay at home and clean up my chest. I was nervous at first, because I had never ventured into a cave before. "You know, it won't be so bad once you become used to it," assured Logan. "Says the guy that fainted when he saw a zombie!" I replied. "Hey, I'm not used to using a sword," he said. "But I would still be careful in the caves if I were you. The caverns can have very high slopes and without a Lucky Charm you will easily die," he said. "What will a stupid charm help me?" I questioned. "A Lucky Charm is an enchanted item that can only be found on floating islands, high in the sky," He said. "Floating islands! Like, in the sky?" I asked. "Yeap, these islands are beautiful patches of land that rest on big fluffy clouds. They would be the best vacation spots if it weren't for the Harpies and Wrywen," he said. "And before you ask, those are quite strong mobs," he continued. "Anyway, the Lucky Charm negates fall damage entirely, meaning that if you fall, you will not get hurt!" He said, sitting on a chair. I was quite surprised about this sudden outburst of knowledge. "How do you know about all this?" I asked. "Well, I don't really know. Some stuff I just read in manuscripts and the rest seems to be common knowledge to me. Nether the less, it's time for you to go now," he said. "Okay, see you later pal!" I said, I picked up my bag and waved goodbye as I walked through the door.
I looked into the dark ibis of what was a cave and quickly pulled out a torch, holding it up to one of the cave walls. I nervously strolled in, keeping my open hand close to my iron sword. I started to place some torches around the cave and began to mine some stone and dirt. I also came across several other ores such as Topaz and Amethyst. After a while, I heard a plopping sound that was very familiar. "You again," I said as I took my sword and swung around to face the slime. "Hmm, a blue one this time? Not for long," I said running at the slime. Unfortunately, the slime was a touch smarter than the last one and jumped right over me, resulting in me colliding with the wall. "Come here you little..." Before I could finish he did what I asked and jumped right on me. I swung my sword through it and ended it's life.
After some hours (not in real life) I decided that I have had enough for one day and set off back home. I checked my inventory and started off. Logan greeted me with a big smile when I arrived at the house. "What's got you all cheered up?" I asked him. "Guess what? We have a visitor!" He said jumping up and down. "Which is?" I asked concerned. come here!" Logan called. "This is , a proud merchant!" He said. "That is me!" chuckled the man, giving a cough. He was probably in his seventies and had a long snow-white beard. "Would you like to look at my items?" He asked, giving another cough. "Sure, let me just unpack my things. I would like to see how Logan did with my chest," I replied. "Oh, about that. I didn't get to sorting that," he said. "Okay, I'll do it myself," I said with a sigh.
After unpacking my stuff I went downstairs to look at 's stock. I purchased a bug net and some arrows. We had a delicious dinner and I asked Logan about a big red heart that I found. It turned out that it was a life crystal and I could use it to increase my life.
