Game 7 of the World Series

Before I knew it, I was in the big time.

Me, Andrew Jackson, number 35 for the Boston Red Sox had a chance to make history, but sadly I don't think that's gonna happen. My team was one out away from losing this elimination game. We were down seven to one. How were we gonna win?

Marlins Park had a sold out crowd today. Thousands of fans got to their feet when I stepped into the batters box. Me, I'm no quitter, I wasn't gonna go down without a fight. My team has gotten this far and I wasn't just gonna give it up like that. The Marlins were gonna have to earn it.

The pitcher José Hernandez who had an ERA of 2.38 in the regular season with a eleven wins and three losses was about to get his first ever shutout in the postseason having had 3 complete game in the regular season.

I'm not gonna lie, the crowd was getting to me. I've never been to the World Series my entire career and I've never been so anxious in my life. I mean this was an elimination game and everything you've done all season just to get were you are just goes to waste.

The twenty-nine lefty got set. He starred me right down my soul. He was hungry for that win.

When you threw that first pitch I didn't think and swung at air. That was a mistake, because it made the crowd go even more crazy. I stepped out of the batter box to refocus. I took a deep breath and stepped inside the batters box once again.

Hernandez didn't waste no time. Once I ft into the batters box he got in set and threw an eighty-seven sweeping curveball for a ball. Once again I stepped out of the batters box to refocus.

We did a lot to get here. We defeated the Blue Jays in the ALDS and swept the Rangers in the ALCS and now we're here.

I didn't waste no time either. Once I took my heavy breath I stepped inside the batters box again.

Hernandez was set and threw his ninety-seven fastball right down the middle.

Once I saw that ball right down the middle, I didn't hesitate to swing, but I think I saw a little bit to low and I popped it up.

From where I was standing I didn't know where the ball was going. I knew for a fact it was in the diamond. Then I saw the first baseman call everyone off. By then I knew it was over.

All I heard was the crowd going crazy and players celebrating on the pitchers mound.

The Miami Marlins were 2020 World Series champions.
