What we know of the word love
Is just a void in its forest of truth,
It hears my screams
But it just watches,
As I bleed from my ears,
It will tell you that
You need to gain strength from within,
And the reason stepdad beats you
Is because he loves you,
That,
The reason mom just stares, zombie like
Is because she loves us too much,
To allow us to see her hurt,
But really,
That’s all love ever did for me,

Hurt.

It squeezed lime juice in my cuts
It put worms in my coffee,
And watch me spit it out
It was like a gun,
And i?
The deer
Afraid. Shot. Dead
But,
In the very end,
All love ever did was apologize
No cries,
Just,
I’m am so sorry
And me being stupid,
I pictured love as a jungle of roses and cupids
But I mean,
Isn’t that what love is?
What we see on a broadcast?
Or is love something more sinister,
To the third eye?
But if love only exists in the province
Of our faith,
Then really,
The only thing capable if loving
Is the being,
That in which we will never,
Be rewarded the understanding
