"Oh my god. I swear! I will not hesitate to punch you. I can pack a pretty powerful punch. Ask my brother. Stop annoying me. Like, usually I wouldn't care because I would just ignore you and other butts, but you just insist and you refuse to cease!", the beautiful girl sitting right next to me (aka Angie) said. I had a sly smile.
But, it kinda slipped away as I realized that after doing this for years trying to get her attention, she still hasn't relented. I don't even know if she knows how much I really love her. Like she said, I'm just a butt, and this kind of stuff is kind of expected from "people like me".
People assume that I can't really love a girl after being with so many. The only reason I did that was because I wanted to get Angie's attention, that and I've been upset that she doesn't love me back ever since middle school. Why are you still hung up on her if you know that she doesn't like you and you'll never have her, you ask? Well, because there's no one like her and trust me, I've tried looking. And you have no idea how hard it is.
Anyway, I snap out of my depressing thoughts. I look back at her and she obviously doesn't even care that I didn't answer her because she got back to my work. Yes, my work. Why can't I do my own work? Because we made a deal in middle school that I would annoy her less if she did some of my work that I found diffucult. Don't worry. I do the same for her because even though she's brilliant, she hates doing history homework/class work, which I find weird because it's super easy to memorize.
Back on track, my mind drifts. Anyway, I look at her and I smile at her weirdness and her beauty. Then, barely louder than a whisper, I ask, " Why don't you like me?" She answers, " I only don't like you when you're a butt, which is like 95% of the time, but the other 5%, I actually tolerate you.", she says with a small smile. Then she says, "Like right now, you're not so bad.", she says considering my current behavior. My eyes go wide with wonder. "Really?" She replies with a scoff of disbelief. "Yeah, you're not that bad.", she continues. The bell rings, signaling the end of English. I grab everything while she takes my English papers and I make a mental note that tomorrow I have to get her history notes prepped. It's lunch now.
We part ways and I grunt with slight annoyance as she finishes paying for her food and is heading toward her stupid friends and their table. Ugh, those stupid people.
Natalie's Note :
Yelp. Yes, yelp. Because I'm excited that I'm writing something. Anyway, the picture at the top is Zooey Deschanel who is playing Angie. The next chapter will probably either have a picture of Benji or of her friend group. Thank you!! Until next time, friend.
