Chance's POV

We were running to the school entrance. We got there in five minutes and parked our car. When we entered we had two minutes to spare.

Roxy and Drew ran to their lockers in the junior section but, we went to the senior section for our lockers. Our school divides it into sections to keep the grades together. Supposed to make everything easier.

I opened it and took out my first-period books. Math. I probably sounded like a zombie with how much I groaned right now.

I hate that class. Josh and Ethan aren't in my math class, they have art right now. Roxy's Roxy and she's just off somewhere else.

Just great.

I entered the class before the late bell and took a seat at the back of the class. I don't like to be disturbed in this class. Or called on, or anything for that matter.

After a minute, the late bell rang and our teacher Ms. Roberts entered the class.

She isn't one of the bitchy, stuck up teachers. She's always positive.

Well, I usually manage to ruin her mood, but, whatever.

It takes so much energy to make her angry. But when she's angry, you better run and hide.

She began the lesson. Of course, I wasn't listening to her; today I didn't want to use my tired brain to do this useless shit.

The door burst open, and suddenly someone entered. From the looks of it, you can say he was running to get here. He was wearing black jeans with a v-neck shirt, simple

"Hello, I think you are the new student on my roster. Want to tell us something about yourself ?" Ms. Roberts asked him politely

"Nope." He said quickly as he scanned the room for free seats.

I was at my seat doing nothing when I heard footsteps coming towards me. I lifted my head up to see the new kid walking towards me.

He took a seat in the chair next to me. I looked around to see if there were any other places for him to sit.

But unfortunately no, The only free seat in the whole room is next to me. I scoffed, lucky me I thought.

He put his books on the desk. I continue to do my scratches, clearly not interested in him.

From the corner of my eye, I saw him playing on his phone. I turned to then see the teacher walking in our direction.

I quickly opened my book and looked at the board to see which task we are doing. That dude watched me confused.

"Hey, the teacher is coming, open up that," I said pointing to the math books. He quickly hid his phone in his pocket and opened up the book.

Smart one, he listens at least.

The teacher stopped by our desk and looked at us.

"Ms. Williams and Mr. Grayson, I hope you took notes because I want to check them," She said and took our notebooks.

Her face had an annoyed look on it, she was getting angry.

Start making your shields.

"Why is this notebook empty?" She slowly asked us.

Me being me, I said "Because we didn't take notes?" in a 'duh' tone.

I heard a few chuckles around. This caused me to smile but, caused her to get angrier.

Hope your shields are done. Well, who am I kidding?
