Date: Summer of 2013, NY, Central Park.

His arms crossed, shelving his head, and stared out at the blue and green water. Legs pulled up and held close to his chest in a protective manner, he felt pathetic. But he didn't move, not from the seat, and not to plant his beige boots on the ground, resisting the attention to the negative conscience.

He just watched. Watched the lake churn and wash against the dirt shore, the water tinted a blue and golden hue, refracting the midday sun and blinding anyone without the quick protection of shaded glasses- which he didn't have.

Breathing slowly, the brunette let his muffler cover half his face, and found the familiar and overused comfort come immediately after.

Was he seriously doing this right now? Oh gosh, he was so stupid. He shouldn't be doing this. His shoulders hunched, depression falling on him like heavy stones. Why would he think that meeting someone face to face a good idea? They'd just forget him in the end. Blinking, wondering who had the conversation with them and say those dreadful words: 'Oh? Sorry, was I talking to you?... I can't remember'.

It would break his heart. It's been cracked too many times to be healthy anymore. Now, it's a fearfully wrapped Soul with tear tracks and scratches, from self inflicted hate and pathetic despair.

His feet tapped on the seat, nervous. Who knows, maybe they already saw him, then turned away, forgetting his existence like everyone he knew and loved.

I could be sitting here forever. Waiting. He thought depressingly.

"N!" A male's voice called out behind his shadowed back, the spoken name's eyes widen, shock pelting his body. Heart racing loud in his chest, in his ears, he turned, breath hitched.

Another high school student turned to rake his eyes across the park, dark brown hair flipped up, a black pack strapped over his shoulder. Nile couldn't really find a voice, so he tentatively raised his hand into a wave.

The motion detected, Nile's pen pall spotted him and smiled while walking over. Nile kept his eyes on the other's, fearing everything he'd imagine. If he even looked away, anywhere else then his body, his pen pall will find himself utterly confused on why he was standing in front of some random guy. Not that he would forget the messages they'd sent to each other, but it's too complex to think about right now.

Nile stood up as the new comer came closer.

"N?" His voice was somehow certain despite the question. Nile smiled, recognizing the nickname he told the other over their paper messages.

"Peter Parker, It's nice to finally meet you." The two shook hands.

Peter grinned. "This is kinda funny." He pockets his hands inside his jacket comfortably and Nile lifts his eye brow quizzically.

"How so?" Nile said. Peter responded with a laugh, eyes locked onto his friend, knowing the other's fear of either a metaphorical or literal disappearance. Seeing the smaller high school student up close, Peter could easily see the guarded stature, reserved emotions, and practically hear N's heart beat fast with the help of his enhanced senses.

The disguised spider man tried to look aloof and relaxed, wanting his friend to do the same since he knew N had trouble with people in general. "Well, for starters, this is happening because I actually did one part of my homework for a chance."

Nile grinned, letting his muffler drop to show the bottom half of his face, loosening his nerves the slightest bit. "Oh, the start of the pen pall thing?" He said. This receives a nod.

He, too, stored his hands into his pockets, relaxing. Peter was still the cool guy he always thought he was. Nice too. He chuckled quietly. "Wow, that was such a long time ago, right?"

"Yeah," Peter shifted onto another foot, getting a bit uncomfortable staring into someone's eyes for a long duration. But, whatever made his friend happy was okay, he guessed. He tilted his head to the side, pretending to look like he was thinking about it. "must have been... two years ago."

"Spring of 2011." Nile replied. How could he forget it.

They were the happiest moments in his entire life.
