Step 2: How To Get Followers

Now how does one get followers? The way to do this is is known by many but if you're a newbie you might not know this trick just yet.

To get followers you must become a follower.

This means that daily you must follow many to get some. Many of you will probably exit this book right now. Like I've said before, many know this lil trick. But I know of a few ways to make it range from slightly to immensely more effective. You'll just have to stay around to get the interesting tips.

Where to find people to follow.
This is actually pretty important. You will have to go to a notorious Wattpad writer and follow all their followers. That is the quickest place to find a huge variety of followers to follow. Be careful to choose a writer that reflects similarly your style of writing because you don't want to try to avoid getting followers that will very likely have little to no interest in your type of work.

The Stats
According to my years of experience, you just follow 100 to earn ten. This means you earn about 10% of those who follow to return the favor. So if you were to follow about 5760 people you'll earn around 567 followers. You see when you follow a person they tend to follow back like a way of saying "thanks for the follower here's my gift in return".

So daily if you follow about around 10,000. You'd get around a thousand new followers daily. This is a lot of time wasted. You want to make sure that the people you follow are going to be good ones and are most likely to follow back. The best way to do this is by taking a quick visit to their activity page.

Ask yourself these quick questions when taking a few seconds in deciding whether or not to follow them.

When was the last time they were active?

Do they take the time to comment?

Are they writers themselves?

When you see they look like they have the qualities of a good follower you may leave a message saying some things  like:

Follow for follow
Vote for Vote
Check out my book (insert book title here)
Comment what you might usually say for this sort of thing.

Then, you wait for them to come piling in like pancakes....... only in your dreams will that ever happen my friend. There's more.

Followers come and go if you leave them bored. So if you don't have anything up yet and it's not consistent. You will lose many or worse you're followers are going to be ghostlike. They will exist as just a number on your account, but they aren't exactly alive. Your job is to keep your account's blood pumping and flowing. Now how can this be done?
