Chapter 4: New Friends...I Guess

Be exited! I start to add in you guys' characters this chapter, not all will be added yet, so sorry if yours doesn't appear yet, I'm adding them in based on their personalities! That's all for now!!!

I sneak in to Dex's and my apartment as quietly as I can, hoping not to wake him. He can sometimes be a light sleeper sometimes. I gingerly turn the knob and shut the door, turning the knob back again, shutting the door. I then turn the lock and as it turns with a 'click' I whip around, making sure to be silent for a few moments so I could hear if Dex had woken up. I hear silence and continue silently to my room.

I lay down and almost instantly, sleep falls upon me and I drift off into dreams I would soon forget in the morning. From what I remember it was a dream about the livestream, I think I just relived it in my dream though.

I wake up hours later and ready myself for work, clothing myself, brushing my teeth and hair, and eating a small bowl of Lucky Charms ((I love those :3)). Dex also asked me to get him a new book today, The House of Hades, the newest edition to Rick Riordan's collection of stories. Though since it just came out a few days ago, I might have trouble finding it. Hope I can, I'm really into the series as well, but not anymore than Dex. So II'll read it after him, which will probably be tomorrow with how fast he reads!

Making sure I have everything, I leave the apartment and head to work, not seeing if Dex was awake of still asleep. The hotel isn't too far, and so is the mall so I don't have any need for a car yet, and don't worry, even though it was a smaller, countryside orphanage, the 15-18 year olds were taught to drive. I walk over to the hotel and set up at the front desk, no talking to the girl who looks around my age and works the night shifts.

She looks at me as I set up, she smiles then breaks the silence, "So, Eli, I haven't seen you in an entire year," My ears perk up as I hear the mention of my nickname that only few know. I single it out, Can't be Dex or Cry, it's a feminine voice, and all my 'friends' at the orphanage were younger than me, all except one. "How've you been?" My head and personality perk up and I yell, jumping on my only true friend (besides Dex) from the orphanage, "SHAN!!!"

She smiles at me and laughs, "Hiya! What're you doing here?! I mean I know you turned 18, but it's weird that we ended up in the same place!"

"I can't believe it! this is awesome!"

"So, did they kick out Dex along with you?"

"Yeah, but we're getting by fine!"

"That's good! So what're you gotten that you couldn't have before, have you been spoiling yourself?"

"Hah," I laugh sarcastically, "They only gave us the money to start our lives, not make them pleasurable, but with the work money, I've gotten us a laptop!"

"Cool! have you gotten any games!?"

"Uh...no, Dex has been using it to watch YouTube mainly."

"Oh that's awesome, but now I have to show you all these awesome games I've played!!!"

"Ummm...okay I guess."

"So, what YouTubers have you been watching?"

"Well I've only been watching PewDiePie and his friend, Cry. Dex oh the other hand, has been watching everything he can." I say with a slight chuckle.

"I knew it!" Shan yelled out. "I watched the livestream and I was convinced it was you! I was right!" She chimed.

I stammered, "I-I, don't say anything okay?"

"Okay. you should start a YouTube channel!"

"Nah, I'm good!" I decline.

"Please! Eli, with Cry on your side, it'd be fun!"

"Maybe, I'll think about it. Now go home! You worked all night! Go sleep!"

She chuckles, "Good to know you haven't changed that much! Okay, I'll go, later Eli!" She waves and she starts walking out, then she turns back, "Oh yeah, I need to introduce you to my friends!! I'll back at your lunch break!" She says, then running out before I can reply.

Sooner than expected, my lunch break comes up and I take out my lunch box that I made this morning. Just a simple sandwich and some soda, noting special. Then hell practically breaks out when the doors open, revealing Shan with her group of friends. 5 besides her, I count.

She spots me and walks over, "Eli!"

I smile shyly at her new friends, and wave without saying a word.

Shan frowns, "Eli, say hi, they're my friends, and my friends are your friends, you're not shy around your friends!"

I roll my eyes, "Whatever you say..."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." one of the girls ((this is Jessie, but you didn't tell me her looks so I won't use them to describe her yet!)) standing next to Shannon stops me, "That voice, I know that voice!! So Shan wasn't lying. You are the Eli from the stream last night!"

"Y-you told them!" I say to Shan.

"Sorry! I told them I called you Eli and these two started to interrogate me about you!!" She replied, shooting a glare at the two girls to her right, one being the one that spoke earlier, and next to her was another girl with dark blue hair and emerald grey eyes.

The two girls snickered as I sighed, replying, "Fine, whatever. That was me!" I say with a smile.

"I will never never understand how you just simply 'meet cry', I mean, he's like god!" The blue haired one claims.

I shrug, "He's just a normal human who makes videos on YouTube."

"How can you say that!?" She replies.

I roll my eyes, "It's true though."

The first one huffs, "It's so unfair!"

I shrug again, "Luck of the draw?"

"Can you ask him if he would meet us!?" She asks.

"I-I guess I can try."

The two girls attack me in a hug, both repeating, "Thank you!"

This'll be interesting...

Finally done! I was writing this and Clouded universe at the same time, so Clouded Universe SHOULD be up soon, but by now you should know how I am! so sorry for my laziness, distractedness, schoolworkiness, and other shit that stops me from writing!
