Sorry been a while been stressed, my grandma has been in an out of the hospital. My friend got kicked out then broke his collar bone. Now I am staying up to keep an eye on her each hour on the hour to get her sugar water.

( (C/N) pov)

I was sharpening my sword that my parents got me when both of them came into my room. I look up at them stopping what I was doing. "(C/n)," (Y/n) said, " you father has something to tell you." "My child the time has come for you to be betrothed, " he told me, " we have agreed to another tribe to combine the tribes by betrothal, but that is finalized with your dedication." "The first born from the other tribe will be coming soon, " my mother told me, " you have three weeks, one month to decide if you will take him as a mate later in life." Both looked pained to see me growing. I knew about mothers condition, how she can't have any more children. My father can have countless mates if he wanted, but he only craves for my mother. I nod and began to sharpen my sword again. "When will he be here, " I asked. " By your next full moon," my father said, " the true test to see if he can protect you. Next month."

~~Time skip 1/2 month later~~

(Rin pov)

I was worried now Sesshomaru wasnt gonna like this. I had agreed to marry Katsu. The wedding was tommorow. He knew about it but I haven't seen him not after (y/n) told him. I was sitting on a rock behind our house, soon it wasn't gonna be mine no longer. "Rin, " Sesshomaru said sitting next to me. I don't look at him knowing he wasn't happy. "If this is what you want then I won't interfere," he told me, " I want you to be happy. You desire to be with him, then I will give you away when I need you, but promise me something." "What is it, " I asked. "Promise me that you will look out for our family, " he told me, " you may be human but you can still warn us on any information." "I promise, " I nod. Sesshomaru then hugs me holding me close. "You are like my daughter to me ," he told me ," and you have my blessing for your marriage." I hug him back yawning. It was getting late , and he picked me up like before when I little. I hold onto him as he took me to my room placing me onto my sleeping mat. I close my eyes going to sleep knowing tommorow was gonna be big.

(Sesshomaru pov)

The next day he arrived early Shōtoku was in the living room. His clothing was the same patterns as ours but the base color black. I brought (C/n) to the living room. Her eyes caught his and he slightly bows. I nod to him and turn to see if Rin was up she had to leave to mother's house to get ready.

( (C/N) pov)

I look at him and he bows slightly. My father nods and leaves. "Lady (C/n) ," he smiles nervously. "May I ask your name, " I asked. "My name is Shōtoku ," he took my hand and kisses the top. My hand tingles like when I play tag with my new friends. I look away realizing they didn't know who I was who my dad was. "Are you okay, " Shōtoku asked. "Yes, " I smile then lie, " it's just my friend that feels like a sister is getting married today." "Well, " he said taking my hands and helping me up to my feet," do you mine showing me around?" "Yes I can do that, " I smile. We go outside the whole time he held my hand. "(C/n)," a familiar voice said coming from behind us. We turn to find Eiji, who now looked shocked. He obviously knew who Shōtoku was and why he was here. He had put two and two together. "Can I talk to him alone for a minute, " I asked Shōtoku. "Take your time, " he smiled. I walk over to Eiji. "Your lord Sesshomaru's daughter, " he said in shock. "I didn't tell you because I didn't want you treating me differently than a friend, " I told him. " (C/n) ," he said looking at me then taking my hands, " I was hoping you would get that I like you more than a friend. I love you, and I thought you loved me. Now I see that this cannot be. " He let's go of my hands and turns. "I didn't know, " I sigh, " but I do care. My parents wanted to combine the tribes, and I don't know what to do. I'm supposed to be betrothed soon. " He nods, " well that is up to you." He kisses my cheek. "But I can live with whatever you choose, " he assured me. Shōtoku had been leaning on a tree waiting for me making something. "What are you doing, " I asked looking into his hand. "Making you a gift ," he answered. My eyes grew in awe seeing sand shift and melt into his hand. He made a necklace and placed it around my neck. "Thank you, " I smile, then my eyes widened, " we are gonna be late if we don't get ready for their wedding." "You are right," he nods and we head back to the house so we could get ready.
