Enjoy chapter 7!
~♡~After a night of bliss, both Ivan and Alfred held each other tightly. Ivan's head rested on Alfred's chest listening to his soft heartbeat that lulled him to sleep. Alfred's arms wrapped around his waist protectively and his nose buried in his soft hair.
The digital clock on the nightstand flashed 3:30 am. The dark room dimly shadowed by the moonlight that seeped through the blue curtains, there wasn't a sound except the soft breathing from Ivan and faint snoring from Alfred.
Ivan shifted softly, he suddenly felt cold but he knew he was still being held by Alfred, why was he so cold? His violet eyes slowly cracked open as he yawned softly, he carefully sat up letting Alfred's arms fall onto his lap. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and looked at the clock. Sighing at the time he raised his head to look around the room, it gave him chills. He draped his legs over the edge of the bed and winced as his bare feet touched the floor. He pushed himself up and sneaked out to the kitchen for a glass of water. The floor creaked under his weight as he switched the light on, only to see nothing but darkness. He tried again and cursed softly when it didn't turn on, "I could probably have Alfred fix it..." he mumbled to no one in particular.
He maneuvered his way through the dark to the fridge where he opened it and let the small amount of light lighten up part of the kitchen. He opened the cupboard and pulled out a glass cup, filling it with cold water. He sighed softly as the water soothed his throat. He leaned against the counter and started to think about him and Alfred, would their relationship change drastically? Or would they still act like best friends? He wouldn't mind that...but he wanted to be much more than a buddy to Alfred. Though he would never say that to the Americans face.
As he was lost in thought he started to notice how cold it gotten, he blinked out of his thoughts and squeaked softly as he quickly closed the fridge not wanting to waste power. He sighed and grabbed the cup, as he was turning to leave he heard the creaking of the floorboard, tilting hid head curiously he wondered if Alfred was up, "Alfred...?"
He didn't get an answer but the creaking seemed to stop. He smiled lightly thinking it was Alfred playing a joke on him, "you can come out now Alfie, I know you're there~" he cooed as he leaned back against the counter.
Once again, no answer. Ivan frowned to himself, "Alfred?"
Creak~
The Russian frowned more and pushed off the counter, glass still in hand, "if you're trying to play joke on me it is not funny Alfred, now come out!"
Instead of the normal, heart filling laughter of Alfred he heard a short, dark chuckle that sent a shiver down his spine.
"I'm not Alfred."
Ivan froze, he started to tremble as he backed up against the counter, "this...this isn't funny!"
"Does it look like I'm laughing, Sonnenblume?"
The Russian shook, that wasn't Alfred's voice, it had an accent and the last word sounded foreign, "w...who are you?!" he whimpered, he heard the floorboards creaking and this time it didn't stop till they got closer and soon, through the darkness, Ivan saw a lone figure standing in the doorway, and red orbs that seem to glow through the void. Boring straight into Ivan's trembling irises.
"Mein Sonnenblume..." his voice was low almost like a growl, thickened with what seemed to sound like a German accent...it was...almost familiar, like he'd heard it before.
"W-what do you want?!" Ivan had shakily demanded, "m-my boyfriend's upstairs and he'll kick your ass!" it wasn't a lie, but he didn't think Alfred would be waking up anytime soon unless he screamed bloody murder...which didn't seem like a bad idea at the moment.
The red eyes narrowed dangerously at the mention of Alfred, and he let out a low sneer, "Boyfriend? Oh my dear sunflower...I think that title is more suitable for me."
"I-I'll call cops!" He threatened once more, the figure slowly started the move towards him and Ivan was stuck between running upstairs crying to Alfred or risking a chance to take a knife from the block behind him.
"You wouldn't do that to me Sonnenblume..." the man hummed, "I love you far too much to leave you...don't worry...I'll take care of you~" even though his voice was soft it was still dark and...possessive?
"P-please just get out! I-I'll scream and Alfred will wake up and-"
"Stop talking about that fucker!" The man snarled, "You're mine! Mine! Mine! Not his!" he yelled, Ivan could see his body shaking through the darkness, "and I'll make sure you realize that."
