Jj was typing up a report when her phone buzzed loudly on her desk. She ignored it and kept working on her report and she didn't think about it again until she was finished.

It was a missed call from Seb, so she called him back.

"What's up?" She asked, leaning back in her chair.

"Come get a drink with me." He said loudly into the phone.

"No dates." She reminded him. In the few months they had been hanging out and casually sleeping together more rules had been added to the list.

"It's not a date. It's drinks." He reasoned.

"You sound like you've already had some."

"Only a few." He sounded like he was somewhere loud, surrounded by people.

"Where are you?" She asked finally.

Half an hour later Jj walked into the Japanese karaoke bar Seb had told her to come to and scanned the room for him. It wasn't hard to find him, since the group he was with was the only group there. She almost left, but he saw her and waved her over.

"Jj." He smiled that big dumb smile of his that she liked so much.

"Hey. Come get a drink with me at the bar?"

He got out of the booth and followed her. "What's going on." She asked.

He shrugged his shoulders, "Not much, what's going on with you?"

"That's not what I mean. Your friends are here."

"Yeah, so?"

"I thought we agreed we weren't going to meet each other's friends and families."

"You and those damn rules. I invited you because it's my birthday tomorrow  and I wanted to celebrate it with my friends, and I thought that's what we were Jj."

"We are friends." She looked at him and sighed, "Do they know?"

"Chris and Mackie know, but they also know to not say anything. Everyone else thinks we're friends from the gym."

"Fine. I'll stay. For a bit."

"And you'll come over after?" He glanced over at the table to make sure no one was looking before brushing her hair behind her ear.

She nodded and he smiled. "Whiskey?" He asked he, calling the bartender over.

"God no. That's just asking for more bad decisions. Vodka soda, please." After a brief argument over who'd pay for her drink, Jj let Sebastian get it and rolled her eyes at his smug face.

They rejoined the table and Sebastian introduced her to all of his friends. Something that wasn't really necessary. All of them were his co stars from the Captain America movies and she recognized them.

She sat squished in-between Chris and Seb,  Seb's hand rested softly on her thigh, out of view from the others.

It was late when they got back to Seb's apartment, so late that Jj considered not coming. As soon as the door closed, Seb picked her up and carried her to his room. Jj laughed when he flopped her on his bed, his hair ticked her face.

"You mind if I take a shower first?" He asked her, kissing her before she could answer.

"No, go ahead." He kissed her again and rolled off the bed.

She laid there alone, a sudden tiredness over came her so she closed her eyes, just for a second.

Jj opened her eyes, momentarily disoriented and unsure were she was. She was in a bedroom that was well lit with sunlight streaming in.

"What's going on?" Sebastian sleepily asked from next to her.

"We fell asleep."  She struggled to remember the night before.

"You were asleep when I got out of the shower."

"Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked peaceful."

She got out of the bed and grabbed her blazer off the floor. "That was your rule, Seb. No sleeping over."

"I wasn't going to kick you out at four in the morning."

"You should've."She angry slammed her feet into her shoes and went to the door.

"Where are you going?" He called after her.

"Work." She poked her head back in, "Happy birthday."

She hailed a cab and instead went back to her apartment, desperately wanting a shower and a change of clothes.

She let herself into the apartment and slipped her shoes off. She went straight to the bathroom and turned on the shower, the warm water cascaded on her tired skin. She wished she could enjoy it longer but she had to start getting ready for work.

Wrapped in her towel Jj went to her bedroom and began rummaging through her drawers, looking for something to wear. She needed to go clothes shopping she thought to herself. It seemed like she had less and less clothes to wear lately.

She put the thought out of her mind and headed into work, all day finding herself thinking about Seb and how sexy he had sounded first thing in the morning.
