"Time's up," Mrs. Turner called out from the front of the room.
Charlotte put her #2 pencil down on her desk, letting out a breath of relief. Charlotte smiled. She knew she did better than everyone here. She studied for endless hours the past few weeks, double-checking she knew everything there was to know about democracy and the Constitution.
She looked around the classroom. Everyone around her looked nervous, as if they were not sure if they passed at all. However, there was one exception. Charlotte saw Thomas Wilder sitting across the room, a smug look on his face. She gave him a glare. He glared back. If he did better than she did on this last AP exam, she would kill him.
"OK everyone, you are dismissed," Mrs. Turner said, "Please give me your exams as you walk out."
Chairs screeched and backpacks zipped closed.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Charlotte," Andrew called out, staring at the skin exposed by her low cut shirt.
Charlotte giggled, "I'll see you tomorrow, Andy."
Charlotte barely knew Andy, but she was sure that at the next party they would hook up, and maybe she would hook up with Ashton, too. He had been flirting with her all day. Charlotte noticed Thomas walk by, rolling his eyes as he saw four guys flirting with Charlotte within three minutes. Charlotte glared back at him.
