Gabriel got up and walked towards the cupboard and pulled out a garment in a long cover. He brought it over to her and held it up, "I thought, well, seen everyone who matters is here tonight," he cleared his throat and unzipped the cover. "I thought if you saw the possibility, we could get married this evening." He pulled out the loveliest white wedding gown Carron had ever seen.
She stared at him in disbelief and then eyeballed the gown. Her hand went out to touch the soft fabric. It felt like silk.
Gabriel pulled back, "No pressure. If you would rather wait, I'll understand."
Carron stood up. I would love to marry you tonight. Her face glowed with love. They hugged, and she covered his face with kisses. Suddenly he pulled away, "Right then, we better get to it. Here's what I have managed to arrange..."
Carron looked at him in amazement, "The wedding is already organized?"
"Well, sort of. In case you said yes to both questions, I have people on standby in assisting making this evening possible."
He put the garment down on the couch, walked over to the door and pressed a button.
"Here's what's going to happen next, you young lady are going to take a bath in-" the door to the suite swung open. A woman walked in and started preparing her bath.
"In a carefully prepared bath. You have 15 minutes to bath and wash your hair and 10 minutes to relax."
Carron let out a smug sound and shook her head. Gabriel pretended not to notice.
"After that, makeup and hair will come to you. Your mother and carefully selected bridesmaids, namely my sisters, will also join you for hair and makeup and to assist you in getting dressed."
Another strange sound escaped Carron's throat, "Incredible! You are amazing." "Yes, so I have been told, repeatedly today I might add."
"Some people knew we might get married tonight?"
"Well, our parents did. I asked my sisters if they would be interested in being your bridesmaids on our big day, and they said, 'yes'. I'm about to tell them it's tonight."
"And dresses?"
"All been arranged. Now hurry, I have a few other things to put together before I get to shower and change." He looked at his watch, "Make that 10 minutes to bath and 5 minutes to relax." He turned and rushed out the room.
Carron sank into her bath. It was heavenly. The lady put some milky stuff into the tub that made her body feel as soft as her wedding dress. Carron thought about the dress and how perfect it was. The most beautiful dress she had ever seen and the most delicate material ever. On the bath water drifted red rose petals. The candles had been lit, and the room smelled like fresh flowers and sweet milk. Her relaxing moment was interrupted by a squeaking sound that came from the lounge part of her suite. She opened her eyes to see her mom standing there. Carron sat up, "Mother! Mother, come here, don't just stand there."
Her mother didn't need to be invited twice. She came right over and sat on the comfy chair next to the bath. "I can't tell you how excited I have been about this day Carron."
Carron sunk into the warm water until she was completely submerged and let out a shriek. She came up again and immediately started washing her hair.
"How long have you known about this?"
"For about a month or so."
"A month! And you managed to keep me in the dark!"
"It was rather easy. Your head was in your books most of the time, or you were out doing projects. If you think about it, I haven't seen you much."
"True. Two years down and one to go. I'm going to have to give up my odd jobs coz the last and final year is going to be super busy."
"Oh, you don't have to worry about working anymore honey, daddy paid for the rest of your studies."
"What?" Carron dropped the bar of soap.
"Oh oops, I think that was another surprise. Don't tell them I said anything ok?" her mother looked around and then out the window, "This day is so exciting. I can't wait to see the chapel. Gabriel paid a fair price for the wedding planner to make it super special."
Carron glared at her mother and shook her head, "Where does it stop?"
The door burst open and in walked a lady with a huge tool box, "Don't tell me the bride is still in the bath!"
Another woman who followed the other clapped her hands, "Quickly finish up, we don't want to keep the guests waiting."
Carron rinsed her hair off and stepped out of the bath, towel held out by her mother.
Another two ladies joined the team, and shortly afterward the door to her suite burst open again and in bounced Gabriel's three sisters and their mom, who walked behind them gracefully, a broad smile on her face.
"Oh, my word Carron, how exciting is this? We cannot believe our brother pulled all this off. Granted, he had lots of help. We finally get to be sisters!"
Emma and Ava chatted wildly while Victoria tiptoed behind them. Elizabeth their mother, walked up to her. Carron waved the lady doing her hair away and hugged her.
"Welcome to the family Carron. We so happy our Gabriel chose a delightful and beautiful person such as yourself."
"Thank you. I'm pleased beyond words to know and be a part of a family as wonderful as this one."
Emma and Ava flung themselves at Carron and gave her a hug. The three stood there swinging side to side, hugging. Victoria waited patiently till the hugging was over, so she could get a one on one hug in. She was more reserved and quiet spoken.
The makeup lady clapped her hands loudly, "Ok girls, we need to get this show on the road. Everyone is waiting." She instructed who is to sit where and makeup and hair started on all the ladies. After all was finished, dresses were brought in for everyone, and more enthusiasm and gasps were overheard from all the way down the stairs.
"This is going to be a fairytale wedding," gasped Emma
"The best anyone has ever witnessed," gushed Ava.
"Yes I must admit, my brother sure is creative."
