Temple of the Sun, Egypt. 1348 BC.
Hazel's POV
I feel so special. Well, it's not every day that you see statues coming to life. It's not every day that you see a purple cat speak. And it's not every day that you could time travel into some time in ancient freaking Egypt.
The cat looked at me. For a kitten it looked quite healthy, fat legs, round tummy, long tail, puffy fur and eyes with two different colors. Its right eye was as blue as the sky and its left was as yellow as the scorching sun floating in the cosmos. Its ears were furry and perfectly angular. The other one was bent down as the cat tilted its head. Its paws didn't show any signs of cray claws. Its kitty hair was purple from the tip of its ear to the end of its curled up tail.
It sounded, with its crazy cute voice almost as a little child asking for a bucket full of candy. "Meow... Hello... It seems that you passed all of the tests. But where is my father?"
I went towards it with hesitant steps. Its eyes turned darker as I got near. They rounded and flickered with the rods light. Because I forgot it had no further use and didn't turn it off. It went backwards with cute little kitty steps.
"Are you real? Awe..." I locked my hands in awe.
My attention was caught by another blow from the other statue. I jerked my head and turned to see it clear. Okay, it's not so much of a statue anymore. My eyes grew wide, seeing a lava covered bird with burning eyes. It lowered its wings and made a loud cry enough to make me deaf if I hadn't covered my ears. It radiated, making me squint my eyes.
Lord Camberwell grunted as he rose up. "What happened? What was that?" He held his head.
"The pharaoh has awakened, and so am I." The cat spoke.
I turned once more to see it. "Are you the creature of the gods?"
Its ears twitched upwards, hearing what I asked. "Indeed I am. I am the embodiment of angels from heaven."
"What?" I frowned.
Suddenly, the burning bird cried another time and the sound of its flames came nearer. I froze, hearing it closely behind me. Taking a gulp, I slowly turned. The image of shaped lava from the corner of my eye made me want to stop turning. But I faced it.
Opening its beak, the creature shrieked as a ball of fire appeared inside of its mouth. The sphere shifted and rushed to my direction. I blinked twice.
All of a sudden, a long meow was heard from behind of me, and the blazing ball returned to its sender.
"...Lady Hazel of the land of promise!" Lord Camberwell shouted. "Get away from there!"
Realizing my dumbness, I jerked to run to the iron figure luckily alive and breathing as the statues coming to life.
I gasped for air and spoke, catching my breath. "You... Hey! ...The... The next time you call me to bring me to reality? You can just say 'Hazel', okay? If that took longer I probably would have fainted in shock before you finished saying my name."
He nodded as his eyebrows twitched. We looked at the creatures' direction. They gazed at each other as if they wanted to kill, although the cat just seemed to want to kill every one by making them geek out. The kitty jumped, as a little lion and stood on the bird's head.
"Now that's undeniably a real Felix." I whispered in thin air.
I noticed Namon still standing by the obelisks. His knees were wobbling in fear as he clenched most of the paper rolls he was bringing. The bird sluggishly moved and shook its magmatic head to throw the kitty off.
