Hazel's POV
I knew it! I knew something bad was gonna happen. Fortunately, Helga remembered that we would actually have a long history test today.
Do you believe that? Two days after the second first day of school, they throw a freaking test at us! And I wasn't even able to study at all.
After realizing that, Helga and I started importing files and notes to our phones. We'll take the chance of using them gadgets during the test. You'll never know, what if the teacher doesn't notice? Technology isn't that advanced for phone detectors to exist nowadays, is it? It's probably not.
I'm done changing into my black and white uniform. The uniform simply consisted of a brightly white uniform blouse, a black neck tie and a checkered black and white skirt. Thanks to modern technology, laundry wash simply made white garments lighter than snow. I also wore black wedge heels which not only added to my fabulous look, it also added to Helga's point of me being a panda. I mean, she wore leather doll shoes, mine was furry and soft. She thinks I'm cuddly all over.
I hurried to my bed and grabbed my phone. Seventy-seven percent done... Great! Better than nothing.
Picking up the notepad, I turned to see Mr. Rust who has just arrived.
"Hazel, Master Paul and Helga are already seated. Flutter up and move." He said with his echoing robot voice.
I nodded and hurried to go outside.
Lately, I've also noticed that Paul hasn't been working with loud spark guns and roaring boosters. I feel like he gave up or something. But knowing my elder brother, he's smart and hopeful. He never gives up.
I still haven't forgotten about the bracelet. But every time I try to tell him about the thing working, he either stands up and leaves or decides to speak about something. I just need that perfect moment.
"Hey guys." I greeted sitting down.
"Good morning." They greeted back in unison, lacking enthusiasm.
Helga was staring very intently at her phone scrolling through something. She was probably studying, and I should do that too.
Paul was watching something with his digital news projector. It typically was just a small round plate thing emitting the hologram upward as a three-dimensional image showing the female reporter and the exact scenes of different news.
The current one showed Gaia building which, apparently, has been trespassed. But that's impossible, though obviously not anymore. Gaia building is the most secured structure in the entire world. It is the home for Earth's general president, possibly the smartest person alive. I mean, he invented fifty-five crop species that were not only able to survive harsh weathers during the growing and harvesting seasons. They were also utterly healthy and delicious.
Speaking of utterly healthy and delicious, Mr. Rust takes the spotlight.
"And for our breakfast as of today..." Drumrolls... "Bos Taurus meat morsel fried in deep rice oil. Finely prepared golden rice and glucose combined morning juice."
Everyone stayed silent. Helga wasn't even paying attention for once. I shrugged my shoulders.
"This is anomalous. Why are you not retorting to my cuisine introduction?" He asked.
Pulling my tubular phones apart, I spoke. "We're busy Mr. Rust. So, shush."
He clinked and stopped echoing. I smiled at him and scrolled to read. This test is not gonna go good.
