Chapter 4

"You have a crush on him." Shannon teased.

"I don't have a crush on him. I'm just..I don't know!" Ariana retorted. She went to see Shannon right after she left Parker's house. Obviously Ariana told Shannon all about her encounter with Parker and Shannon had begun to tease Ariana. As expected. Why did I even mention this, Ariana thought to herself. "Anyway, what was so urgent that you didn't want me to even call Tash?"

"Oh, nothing. I'm just pissed at Tash. She has been spreading things about me. Apparently she thinks whatever she said is going to make me look cool, but she is really meddling with my personal life now." Shannon said. Ariana knew how much this could piss Shannon off. She really valued her personal space. A lot.

"Did you talk to her?"

"Yes, obviously. That's when she said that she was just trying to make me look cooler. I'm telling you Aria, I could literally just slap her."

"And you told her that, didn't you?" Shannon nodded. Ariana could only imagine the friction between Natasha and Shannon. Shannon hated anyone devaluing her personal space and Natasha hated being told that she was wrong.

"I just don't understand her need to be the most important person at all times."

"Shay, stop thinking so much. You know she loves attention. She'll shut up in a few days. And I'm guessing since you told her off, she'll stop with the spreading things bit." Ariana said, trying to console Shannon.

"Yeah. I guess you are right." Shannon said looking downcast. Then suddenly, her face lit up with mischief. "Besides, the hottest news is your hot teacher. Tell me, would you sleep with him? When do I get to see him? How about a threesome?" She began.

"Okay. That's it. I'm leaving." Ariana said, getting up from Shannon's bedside bean bag.

"Oh, did I offend your delicate sensibilities?" Shannon said laughing at my reaction.

"Maybe." Ariana said haughtily. "Besides, my mom is expecting me."

"All right, all right. I'll shut up and let you go." 

Both the girls got up and Shannon starting walking Ariana towards the door. "Hey, don't tell anyone else about the Parker thing." Ariana whispered to Shannon. "I don't want the whole thing to become public knowledge."

"Sure thing."

"GOODNIGHT, MRS. SANDERS!" Ariana shouted towards Shannon's mother in the kitchen.

"Goodnight, love! I'm sorry I can't come out I'm kinda busy in here!" Mrs. Sanders' voice came out from the kitchen.

"Oh, it's quite alright!" Ariana replied and turned to Shannon. "Bye sweetie. I'm sure the whole Tash thing will resolve pretty soon. Don't worry." She said in a low voice and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Shannon smiled.

"Bye. I'll see you Monday."
