18 year old Alicia Menssah is what people call emo. She has the legendary dyed pastel hair, her snakebites match her violet eyes.
Coming from a long line of gypsies, she is no stranger to traveling from town to town, city to city and sometimes country to country.
A week before she had never even heard of South Africa. Did they have electricity? Running water? Proper sanitation? Or would they be living off the earth? Living off the earth wouldn't be surprising since her mother had become a hippy.
Alicia's POV
I'm busy grumbling at mom for asking me to help with the moving. its not my fault we moved to Afica. Africa for Christ's sake!!!! Anyway i'm busy lugging boxes thinking how unattractive I must look right now, not that there are any girls who'd be interested in emo old me.
Suddenly a waft of smoke invades my nostrils and i'm forced to look around for where it comes from because i'm dying for a smoke right now. Something tells me to look behind me and i am gobsmacked when I do. My first thought is, "God she's gorgeous", and she's staring at me.
'She' in this case is a girl standing by a window nextdoor. She smirks and a chill runs down my spine, she sits on the windowsill and continues to smirk. As our eyes meet a spark ignites within me growing fast into a raging blaze as she licks her perfect, shockingly purple lips. I look away before I do or say something foolish. I run into my house and head straight for the bathroom thinking, "WHO THE HELL WAS THAT?"
