My feet runs across the rooftops of Paris before I use my yoyo to get there more quickly. I need to see Chat; he's the only one I could possibly think of to talk about that box. It could sort of reveal myself if I tell anyone else about it, but I don't care right now. I'm too scared to not resist the comfort of his presence next to me. I feel safe whenever he's around. And right now,... I don't feel safe at all.
A familiar black suited figure sits on a roof about 10 feet ahead of me. "Chat!!" I yell desperately to him. He turns around, obviously surprised at my 'greeting'. "Eh, hello M'Lady; what's got you knotted in a-" I cut him off as I frantically went to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. I'm so scared, all I need is him right now.
Soon after I did that, I felt Chat's arms around my waist, a little hesitant at first. "Bugaboo, what's wrong?" he says, a little more serious this time. I take a deep breath before slowly unwrapping my arms from him. Quickly missing the warmth that he gave me. "S-something in my civilian life scared the heck out of me." I say simply, trying not to reveal too much about me. I try and shrug off his attempts at finding more information about what made me so scared. "No Ladybug, listen, you have to talk about this. If you're this scared of something you have to tell me what it is." He says, gripping my shoulders to stop me from getting off topic. My confidence wavers as the worried stare of Chat Noir made me give in.
I sat down on the roof, making Chat sit as well. I debated with myself on how I should tell about the box. "I got some... Acknowledgment and I got some attention in response to it. And I'm not used to having that in my civilian form... I'm pretty sure I attracted some negative attention. Someone followed me, took pictures of me, and sent them to me. Sent a note with it too" I say, a far away gaze on my face. "'Delivered' a box to my house... Chat, I-I don't feel safe. My parents aren't going to be home for a while, and I know I can't talk about it with my friend. She's already asleep. What am I supposed to do when I don't feel safe in my own home? One of those pictures was me in my room... I just don't know what to do." I pull my knees to my chest, hugging them.
"You shouldn't go home. What if that guy is still there? Are you sure that there's no one else you could spend a night with? So that the guy would leave." He said, an unusual coldness to his usually playful green eyes.
Alya's asleep. I wouldn't want to wake her or her siblings up. And I have no idea where Nino even lives. That only leaves Adrien.
"But I'm not sure if he's awake. Let alone if he'll let me stay a night." I sheepishly say, feeling my cheeks slightly blush.
"Don't think about that. If you don't feel safe, then that should be the only thing that matters to your friend." a smile returned to Chat's face. "And if you need to tell him everything that's ok. You just need to be safe." I can tell that he really meant it. I smile back at him. He really cares for me. I nod before I tell him that we need to do patrol before the night ends.
Chat Noir's PoV
M'Lady's being stalked as her normal self. What could have gotten that kind of attention from the guy who scares my love. All I want is for her to be safe and happy. Not scared and unable to get to safety.
I really hope she will go to who ever is her friend. I think as I jump across rooftops to my home.
My head turns left to right in search of any cameras or people around as I jump into my room. My transformation ends almost as soon as I hit the ground. I hear Plagg snicker before he started asking for cheese again. I roll my eyes at him. But groaned when I realize I don't have any of the stinky cheese in my room. Meaning that I'll have to actually go too the kitchen and grab some.
I quietly walk down the large stair case, keeping an eye out for anyone. It's about 11 pm and I'm not supposed to be up. But of course being a superhero means that I have to stay up doing patrols over the city. Not that I particular mind.
As I walk by the front door, I see a note taped to it. My hand reaches for it as I begin reading it. Written somewhat messily, said that my father and Nathalie were on a business trip. Said they would be back on Monday...
It's a Thursday...
Well now.
I crumble up the piece of paper, walking past the door and into the kitchen. Grabbing a piece of camambert for Plagg. I give up on acting sneaky, walking normally. My footseps echo as I walk back up the stairs to my room. "Finally!" Plagg says as he flew like lightning to the cheese in my hand.
I roll my eyes at him as I began getting ready for bed. I grab a t-shirt and some sweat pants. Once I am good and dressed, I hear the doorbell ring. What? It's super late, who is ringing the bell at 30 minutes before midnight? I wonder as I walked back down to the front door. Whoever it was, they seemed to be pretty impatient. They knocked on the door a lot until I opened the door. My eyes slightly widening at the sight of who it was.
There, hugging herself and frantically searching around, stood Marinette. Fear clearly showing through the eyes of a normally shy and calm girl.
Upon hearing the door open, Marinette spun on her heel, looking at me. "A-Adrien..." She says, barely above a whisper, her breath shaking. Like her breath, Marinette herself is shaking. It's not very cold out tonight. So what freaked her out so much that she came to my house, in the middle of the night, and scared herself shaking. What in the world made her like this?
