"Tony...er.. Tony what are you doing...?" Pepper asked shyly but also with an air of curiosity as she let the father of her child lead her from Tori's nursery once the two of them had finally got there three month year old daughter to sleep for the evening. Well, until the infant girl woke up again. Which was probably going to be in a few hours time.

"Just be patient Pep, everything will make sense soon, trust me you're going to love this," the billionaire smirked and guided Pepper to their bedroom balcony. Red rose petals littered the balcony floor that overlooked the Malibu sunset in the horizon. "J? Play the track would you buddy?" Tony called to his close his friend who was also the artificial intelligence he developed.

"Yes sir," Jarvis responded before played  for the loving couple on the balcony.

Pepper couldn't help but laugh, her cheeks growing red as she blushed at her husband's actions. "Nsync? Really Tony?" she chuckled with a playful roll of his eyes, listening to the song 'Something like you' being played.

"What's wrong with it Pep?" Tony asked with an expression of confusion on his face, he really thought Pepper would find this a romantic gesture and enjoy what he was doing for her. "Okay, I guess it's not really the usual song I would pick, but I just thought you might like it," he shrugged innocently, just wanting to impress the mother of his child. "It's romantic though right?"

"Romantic? Is that what you were going for?" Pepper questioned with  a raised an eyebrow before smiling when she noticed Tony's expression drop with disappointment. "Hey.. TeddyBear, I love it... I love you," she said lovingly, cupping his cheeks with her hands before lightly and adoringly kissing Tony's lips.

"Hmm.. I love you too.." Tony whispered against Pepper's sweet lips, he ran his fingers through her gorgeous, soft ginger hair as he tenderly brought the woman he loved closer to him with his hand on her waist. "And there's something I've been meaning to ask you.." Tony began, as he went down on one knee, causing Pepper to raise an eyebrow in confusion. Hadn't Tony already proposed to her? Albeit a few months ago?"

"Tony..?" she asked with a skeptical tone as her fiance knelt down in the thin layer of petals littered on the balcony floor.

However, before Pepper could utter another word, Tony looked up, his brown eyes looking up to meet Pepper's ocean blue gaze. Her eyes... they always managed to make Tony's heart melt every time he gazed into them. More often than not, he couldn't believe he was lucky enough to have Pepper in his life. Having her around and now with their own precious daughter is what gave the eccentric billionaire happiness. He wasn't alone when he had Pepper by his side. He would be lost without her. "Honey I know I did this a while back but a lot's happened since then," Tony began, addressing a surprised Pepper as he took a ring box from his pocket. "I'm not sure what it is but whenever you and I are apart I just feel so empty... you're the one that brightens up my day and you keep me sane to stop me from doing something stupid.. well most of the time," he chuckled, smirking when he noticed the deep red blush forming on Pepper's cheek in response to the endless compliments the man she loved was giving her. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that I need you Pep..what do you say? Will you marry me?"

Pepper clasped a hand over her mouth in surprise, she really was not expecting this and was rendered speechless by Tony's romantic gesture. She didn't think he would propose again since before Tori was born and found it rather sweet that the hero was there, down on one knee, asking for her hand in marriage yet again. "Tony," Pepper smiled, tucking some of her ginger hair behind her ear and nodded, looking down to Tony as he listened closely to her response. "Of course I'll marry you, I love you," she finally responded, pulling Tony gently back up to his feet before embracing him with her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply with all the love she could muster in her heart. Despite how difficult Tony often was to deal with, there was no denying that Pepper loved Tony just as much as he loved her.
