"Let me take you out tonight mama" I smiled and she sat on the couch and just looked at me
"What for?" she smiled. My mother means the world to me. Her heart failed a couple years back. The doctors was able to bring her back though so I was thankful for that. They said her heart will fail again one day and that would be the last time I talk to her. I just want to take her out cause we don't know when her heart will fail again.
"I just want to cherish the moments I have left with you ma" I smiled and she held onto my hand
"I'll be ok baby. But I'll go, im tired of looking at these walls" she looked around
"Pass the blunt" I said to one of my bros. Sure enough , he passed it.
"Don't you think you had enough weed today man?" I took a puff "you've been smoking since you got up" Keegan said. Eyes wide open. I'm stressing man. Today is suppose to be a happy day for me but i can't even be happy because I'm not sharing it with my loved one.
"Ma!" I yelled and she stopped in her tracks. POP POP POP. That's all I heard. I ran over to her. By that time she was already dead. I sat in the middle of the street holding her lifeless body.
"No , i know what i did this morning but do i care? No. Leave me alone man" i said passing the blunt along the circle. Keegan shook his head and got up. I don't agree with the fact that I've changed but hey. Shit happens.
"Aye , call some females over and lets turn up." Dalawn said after taking a puff. trying to calm down the tension. "Today's your 21 birthday. Can you believe it"
I smirked "coo with me" maybe this plan could ease my mind. Dalawn got on the phone and called up alot of people. I went upstairs, and laid down. I'll go back downstairs when i hear females down there.
( ( Leonna's P.O.V ) )
I was with my bestfriend Kiana , chillen in her bed and her phone started ringing. She was talking all loud and stuff. "Ok , so we have been invited to this kick back. Is you down?" She asked and i smiled
"sure" i said with confusion. Who's kick back? Who's house is it gonna be at? Who is going to be there? Are all the questions that went through my head.
"ok , get ready" she said getting up. "I'm about to go get in the shower"
I looked down at my clothes " I'm ready"
Keke laughed so hard, but i don't see what's so funny. Im lost. "you're not going no where with me in those raggedy hand me downs" she raised an eyebrow then laughed. Her laugh carried on into the bathroom. Since i didn't plan on getting out the house tonight, i went through her closet. I grabbed her ripped jeans, and white sheer shirt. I guess i was gonna wear my breds since those were the only shoes i brung. I wear a size 3 in kids and that's small as hell. Keke wear a size 5 so her shoes are way too big. Putting on my clothes , keke phone began to ring again. I looked at it and it was her boyfriend.
"hello?" I said softly
"where's keke at?" He asked. By the tone in his voice i could tell he was upset.
"your attitude tonight..... Man hold on" i said setting the phone down. "Keke your bipolar ass boyfriend on the phone" the shower turned off quickly and she rushed out the bathroom to pick up the phone. I put my hair in a pony tail. Looking in the mirror i noticed keke sitting on the bed crying. I turned around. "what happened?" I asked and she laid her face on my shoulder.
"he said it wasn't working" she wiped her tears . Getting up she put on her things. "c'mon im ready to go." She snatched my arm.
We arrived at the house, it was big and beautiful. "Girl, who's house is this?"
"its dope isn't it?" she smiled and I shook my head yeah. " I know" we walked in the house and all eyes turned to us. A tall dark skinned boy approached us. Hugging keke and simply kissing her on the cheek, I stood there looking around.
"thank you for coming ma" keke smiled "who's ya girl?"
"This is Leonna. My best friend" I reached my hand out to shake his hand.
"Nice to meet you, you girls can chill out in the living room. I'll be back down in a minute" he smiled and walked off. We walked into the living room and sat on the couch . Everyone was still staring. This is awkward.

Dalawn came banging on my bedroom door. I opened it up "Yo, come downstairs , its some bad females down there!" he said with excitement. "one of them is just your type too. You better go hop on that" he smiled nudging me. We walked dowm stairs and I only seen two bitches. I put my hands on my face.
"Nigga neither one of those bitches are my type! they're ugly as hell" I tried to whisper but I was so angry. His face expressions changed.
"I need you on this one man. I want her" he pointed to the mexican chick next to the one with the ponytail. I sighed real hard. We walked over there to the girls. "Guys , this is Brennan." the girl with the ponytail smiled and I smiled back to be nice.
"Nice to meet you" she shook my hand and I nodded my head. D was having a conversation with ole girl and big head here was starring at me.
"we're going to my room, we'll be back down later" girl with the pony tail looked at them like they were crazy.
"wait , what?" she said
"you'll be fine with brennan" D girl replied
"Yeah.. as long as she sucking me up" I laughed and everyone mouths dropped.
"You're disrespectful. You don't say that to a girl you just met!" she yelled
"clearly I do if I just said it. Now you either do it or you can get to stepping"
"Let's go keke." she said as she began to walk. The girl didn't follow her, she stayed with my bro. She turned around "your not coming?"
"Not tonight Leonna." she shook her head. Her whole face expression changed. She walked out the house.
D looked at me "man what the hell is your problem today?!" he yelled and I just stood there looking stupid. "can you be nice or civilized for once? " Can I be nice? Yeah, I just choose not to.
