Chapter 4: Having to tell

Lucy's PoV

Breathing heavily after Natsu shut the door, I sank to the ground. Tears built up in my eyes and I didn't know what to do. "Should I talk to him about it? What if he tells the guild? What if Erza finds out? What if my father gets wind of it? Oh, this can't be happening! It's just a bad dream. All I have to do is close my eyes. When I open them again, I'll wake up and this will all be over! Yeah!" I go completely crazy. I shut my eyes as tightly as possible and hope to Mavis that it's a dream. I reopen them and am still in the same place. "Damn!" I cry, punching the wall, making it cave in a little. "Oops." I blush at my strength. "I should get out there quickly to make sure he doesn't tell anyone." I scurry to get the rest of my clothes on again and run out the door.

When I get out, Natsu is sitting on a table with the rest of team Natsu, a bump rising on his head. I quick walk over to him and grab his arm. He looks up at me and I instantly see the shock on his face. When the rest of the table notice me, they all freak out again. "Lucy! Are you alright? What happened there? Why did you suddenly run off? Did Natsu do anything to you when he barged in like that? What happened to the cuts on your legs?" Everyone asked me their questions. "I'm fine, I just put some medicine on it and I'm good as new. But at the moment, I need to talk to Natsu." I tell them and drag Natsu to a room nearby.

Apparently, this room turned out to be a broom closet and we were only inches from each other when we got in. "Are you okay? Wh-What did you ne-need to talk about?" Natsu asked, I could feel the heat from his blushing face from hear. I turn on the light, seeing as I couldn't see a thing, and looked down. "What did you see?" I blushed as I twiddled my thumbs. "Wh-What are you talking about? I-I didn't see a thing."  He stuttered again. "Don't lie to me Natsu. I need to know what you saw!" I started to get angry as I looked up at him. "I-I saw everything." He sighed. I froze at his statement and sighed myself. "That wasn't everything," I muttered. Thanks to Natsu's dragon hearing, he heard that. "I don't care if it hold bad memories, or if we are in danger if you tell us, we need to tell Erza about this. We need to tell the guild about this!" He commanded. "I can't Natsu. If I did, Erza will freak out, and it would only bring more pain." I look down at my hands again. "That's good, isn't it! Then we'll be able to punish the person who did this to you!" He grabbed my arms, making me flinch. "Is that why you got scared when we mentioned that guy from before?" He relaxed a bit. I pulled my arms from him in fear and anger. "THAT NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! JUST DON'T TELL A SOUL OR I'L GET YOU DRAGNEEL!" I scream in his face and run out crying.

I immediately go to Master's office, ignoring the members, who were once again calling my name.

I burst through the doors and saw the stacks of files that were once again on Master's desk. "Master! I need to talk to you." I command, walking up to a chair and crossing my arms as I sat down. "My child. I heard what happened, did he see anything?" Master emerged with sympathetic eyes. "Yes! He saw everything! And now he wants to tell the entire guild!" I stand up again, throwing my hands in the air. "I still think you should tell them. We are your family now." He stated calmly. "I know Master, but how am I supposed to tell them that I was abused by my father, the who killed my mother, and had escaped from him multiple times, only to be pulled back, unwillingly might I add, every signal damn time!" I shout, pushing a book or two off of a table.

It was a bad idea to shout, because the second I finished my rant, someone burst through the door. "WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT BEING ABUSED LUCY!" My older sister burst through the door, fully enraged and ready to kill. Sh*t. I think, frozen in place. "Hello Erza. And how are you today?" Master asked calmly. She looked like she could blow up at any minute, or destroy a small town, on purpose. "Lucy! What did you say?" She asked with gritted teeth. "I-I'm sorry Erza." I whispered, worried I might cry, and released the protection spell and watched everyone's eyes go soft. I ripped off the sleeves of my jumper and took off my tights, as well as my boots. Everyone watched in shock as my real skin was put out on the open air. The pain in everybody's eyes was unbearable as I just stood there, waiting, crying.

Then, surprising me, everyone from team Natsu and Levy, stepped forward, levy having to pull Gajeel with her. "Lucy-San. We are your family now. Why did you hide this from us?" Wendy was the first to speak. "I-I didn't want you t-to be hurt as well." I cried. "Lu-chan." Levy gasped in sadness. "Hurt from what, Lucy?" Happy asked. "My father." I whispered before collapsing from the pain of my wounds.

Natsu's PoV

After saying something about her father, Lucy passed out. "Lucy!" We all shouted and ran to her side. "She's baking! We need to get her medical attention, and fast!" Erza gasped. "Wendy, you get prepared down stairs, and I'll call Porliusica!" Master demanded and Wendy ran down stairs. "Natsu! You carry her down there and do everything you can to help Wendy out!" He told me. "What about us?" Happy and Gray asked. "You make sure Erza doesn't kill someone." Master points at the murderous Erza, everyone looked at the two in pity as Wendy and I made our way down stairs. I could hear the breaking of walls and floorboards as we got to the infirmary. Poor souls.
