Sarah ran to the closet and grabbed a roll of duct tape. Mereda lifted Jimmy's torso, and Sarah taped over his arms and under his torso, so that he wouldn't be able to rip the duct tape off of the table and free himself. Jimmy was still out cold, but for some reason, Mereda didn't want to leave his side. Maybe it was a protective instinct, or maybe she just didn't want anything violent to happen. She couldn't figure it out. She held out her hand and focused, expelling her innermost energy. Her hand glowed with a smaller sunlight than before, which meant she was gaining control. She had known her parents, but had they kept this a secret from her? Had she somehow obtained an alsaid soul shard at the orphanage? Shouldn't she have found this out when she obtained it? It was a complete mystery, and Johnny Toast and Carlisle were still in the dryad forest, so had something happened to one of them? She hoped not, because Toast was still injured, and Carlisle was under a lot of stress already. Mereda was itching to look, but something kept her from going with Sarah to wait. For some reason, she wanted to keep watch over Jimmy, even though it was painfully obvious that alsaids and lampads were rivals. Alsaids were the nymphs of the day, and lampads were the nymphs of the night. Mereda just couldn't take her eyes off of him. He looked almost dead, drained of energy. Somehow, she felt satisfied, and she hated the feeling. This was a natural instinct of alsaids, and she didn't like the feeling of satisfaction of seeing an ally drained, skin pale and grayed, even if that ally was insane. Somehow, she could hear Ghost, pleading for Jimmy to wake up, so that he could take over, but it wasn't happening. Mereda rushed over again to try and help, but she didn't know how.

Sarah was in the mean time venturing into the dryad forest, trying to find Toast and Carlisle. Luckily, they weren't that far, and she found Carlisle helping an extremely bloodied Toast, entangled in squeezing vines. Sarah was shocked at what she found.

"Toast!" Sarah screamed in horror. " Are you okay? What happened?"

"The dryad's name is Melody, and she's my sister," Carlisle responded. "She trapped him in fear vines, something only dark dryads can use."

"What are fear vines?" Sarah asked, confused.

"They torture people using their worst fears, in Toast's case, it stabbed him in multiple places, causing him to bleed all over."

"I was wondering how it would torture him since his worst fear is blood," Sarah pondered, as she bent down to help him.

Toast grunted as he was helped up, still badly injured, but somehow, Carlisle could barely make out ravens wings, silhouetted against the air, barely visible by sunlight, but when she blinked, they were gone.

Carlisle blinked again, but nothing appeared. Was she imagining it? No, she wasn't, she could tell the difference between something coming into reality and leaving, and her imaginations of Peter Pan. What she saw was definitely raven's wings.

Jimmy Casket slowly gained consciousness, but his he felt a stabbing pain in his head, like when you exit a dark room, and enter a brightened room with florescent lighting. However, there where only a few lights on in the basement.

"Jimmy," said a familiar voice. "Are you alright? I'm sorry for what happened."

"I'm, I'm alright, I think," Jimmy stammered, each word forced. It was even hard for him to talk.

"Just take it easy, and let Ghost back," Jimmy recognized Mereda's voice. "I heard him, somehow, wanting to get out."

"Well," Jimmy grunted. "I don't know if I have the energy to do that just yet. Normally, it happens automatically when I'm knocked out, unless both of us are knocked out. If one of us wakes up before the other, that's typically who'll come out or stay out first. However, I didn't hear him, 'cuz I was out cold, but he should have been able to take control easily, since he woke up before me. I don't know what went wrong. Maybe this shared body isn't used to the surge of energy you and Sarah gave off."

"You have a point," Mereda replied. Jimmy could now see her clearly, as his vision became clear. He sighed, relaxing. He needed to kept his insanity at bay, so that he could heal. He didn't like the insane part of him, so he tried to keep it at bay for as long as he could. Unfortunately, that one part of him he hated was dominant over his weak and broken soul. What no one else knew, was that his soul was already a fusion of two, not fused with Johnny Ghost, but his name had come from an identity crisis caused by the fusion of the soul of a kind-natured human, and a powerful demon. He was in constant agony, which was why he committed suicide if the first place. He didn't want to share a body with anyone and have second chance. He felt he didn't deserve one, being the murderous demon he had become, yet he was given one, and he was starting to see the kindness that shone through Ghost, and wanted to experience the good feelings that came from doing others good, but he didn't know how.

He just didn't understand.

Hey, guys! Sorry for such a short chapter, but I'm at my sister's house, and I'm in the middle of a writer's block. I have good ideas, but I don't know how to start them and fuse them to the plot. I also got the Wattpad app, but it's not as good as the PC website. I love the website itself, but I use the app when I don't have access to a computer. Love you guys, thank you for over 550 reads, and you'll see from me again soon!
