The one and only

Chapter 4

Erin's POV:
When we left Hank's office, the whole unit looked at is with utter confusion. They had been expecting shouting and screaming from me and Hank and Jay to say a word here and there, and to be honest I had expected that too. As me and Jay walked out of the office, hand in hand and with big smiles on our faces, the unit stared at us with confusion, until the joker Adam announced "Our boss had gone soft." We all looked at each other and started to laugh. By the end of our laughing fit, tears were streaming down our faces, our faces were bright red and our stomachs had started to hurt. It was just the idea of Hank of becoming soft and sweet was hilarious because it just wouldn't happen. But our laughing ended  as soon as Hank walked out of his office.

Hanks POV:
I looked up to from my desk to see the whole of my unit laughing like little kids. They had red faces, tears streaming down their faces and they where all holding their stomachs. I decided after a few painful minutes of listening to them laugh like a bunch of hyenas to see what was so funny, but as soon as I walked out the door, the laughing stopped.

Jays POV:
As soon as Hank walked out the office door, we all stopped laughing however we couldn't look each other in the eye as if one smirk would set the laughing fit off once again. I stood their with the biggest smile on my face as I held Erin's hand, our fingers intwined with each other's. Hank firstly looked at my and Erin as if to say 'could you not show your love in here' but then said "I'm sure I sent you two home, so I'm wondering what are you two still doing here." We nodded and started to down the stairs, still hand in hand and as we walked out we could here the debriefing of the case. The case that was one of my closest friends, but as i looked at Erin I knew I would be okay because like I had done with her, we are there for each other and I was going to be okay.

Author POV:
Sorry for the long break between the updates but I'm still at school and not on summer for another 3 weeks but I'm going to try and update more often. Next chapter there will be a lot more linstead, and I apologise for the cringey ending of this chapter. Thanks for the reviews and feedback, it does mean a lot.. 💜
