michael sniffled his nose in the fluffy blanket luke bought him the previous weekend, the small boy wiped his tears quickly when he heard footsteps getting closer. most likely the foot steps belonged to luke hemmings, his sweetheart boyfriend who always took care of him.
"baby, are you in here?"
"yes lukey, i'm here." a small distracting smile formed across michael's pale angelic face which was paired with beautiful pastel pink hair that resembled candy floss. the blond sat on the edge of the bed and gently tugged away michael's blanket away from his face. the flesh under his eyes appeared puffy and a raw pink color.
"baby, what's the matter? why are you crying?"
"i am not crying, well anymore."
seeing his much younger, shorter boyfriend crying under a mountain of blankets made him concerned. "what's wrong sweet pea? bad day at school? icky tummy?"
luke concern was cute, and made michael feel special. "no, i just feel sad. i don't know why lukey."
the blond understood, sometimes michael saddens himself without even realising it. his big boy mind sometimes overthinks too much which saddens him. luke pressed his pink lips against the middle of michael's forehead and gentle got off the bed to retrieve michael's favorite stuffed elephant named shiny. "you want your elephant, baby?"
"yes sir."
michael covers his mouth after letting that name slip, his parents raised him to say that to people older than him as a sign of respect and sometimes he called luke sir, the small boy didn't mean to though. "sorry."
"it's okay baby boy, here's shiny. y'hungry?"
"a little" mikey's short thumb finds its way inside his mouth as his head lies on the softness of his pillow. luke chuckles quietly, kissing michael's soft cheek and pulling all his blankets over his body. "okay, i'll make you a fruit bowl and some sweet tea, sound good?"
"mhmm."
the blond was a big believer in having a healthy diet, michael was the person that loved to eat anything, except something with a weird consistence, so if luke didn't make him eat his fruits and veggies, the small boy wouldn't.
luke quickly fixes michael a small fruit bowl with a glass of sweet tea and walks back to his room, the boy was sitting (criss cross) on the bed, watching a silly show of cartoon network. "feeling better baby?"
"yes, much better." michael stands up on the bed and leaps into luke's arm, its a good thing luke placed his bowl and beverage on the bedside table. michael squeezed his boyfriend tightly and pressed a long kiss against the warmth of the blond's neck. "i love you lukey. so so much, okay?"
"i love you, sweetie."
in luke's mind, michael clifford was a baby koala bear, he loved being held by luke at all times. and he usually didn't let go into luke makes him. michael presses numerous feather like kisses against luke's neck, face and shoulders. sad michael, to, loving clingy michael.
