After the strange run in with 'Jean,' him and his friends began bombarding the boy with questions about various events, things that were around the topic of humanoid creatures and the 'Survey Corps.'
Eren had faintly remembered reading about the history of the three walls and the military at the time, but nothing much more than that. He could vaguely picture a banner with two wings intercepting with each other.
Ah, that's it. The wings of freedom, the banner that was on the book Levi was reading....
Eren simply dismissed the men and women's questions with a flick of his wrist, before continuing to insist that he had no idea about what they were talking about. Well, it wasn't anything abnormal to not know about humanities past, I mean, only a few people took the time to research it.
Many said that the whole incident was fake, and that it never happened. But that seems to happen a lot with history. Even today, people say that the holocaust never happened, even though that there is standing proof of its existence around the world, and even survivors. The walls were the same way.
They were physically there, standing in all of their glory. And Eren wondered if Titans were still embedded inside of them-
Wait.
How did he know that?
Eren felt his breathing pick up a bit as he could almost remember himself standing on wall Maria, watching the Titans starting to attack from all directions, all being led by the Beast Titan.
Was this deja-vu?
Petra stared deeply into the brunettes eyes, sensing the uncertainty that radiated off of him in waves. She clicked her tongue before moving back a few steps.
"He's starting to recall it."
Jean nearly jumped up and clicked his heels. "At last, the dipshit was beginning to see what had happened to him so long ago." He smiled widely and laced his fingers with Marcos.
Erens eyes widened as more and more came back to him with each passing second.
"Marco, we'll join the Military Police."
"Marcos dead."
"Which ashes are yours, Marco?"
"Don't make me hate myself more than I already do."
"I'm going to join the Survey Corps."
They weren't even his own memories, he couldn't se himself in them, let alone even feel his own presence.
They were Jeans.
That's it. He could feel it now, the memories coming back to him like a dam bursting on a river.
"Eren, I love you." Levi said with a small smile, kissing my knuckles tenderly. "Don't ever forget that."
"Through thick and thin, we will fight, and we will always be victorious." Levi said as the scene panned to one of the Survey Corps Headquarters.
"You'll always hold a special place in my heart."
"You're not a monster, you're my brat."
