- Ariella's mother ^ -   ~ Apollo's POV ~

Hauling her unconscious body over my shoulder I followed behind Storm to the black Range Rover parked right outside the gaping hole we created. Everything was going as Storm planned and I could feel the excitement he was emitting as he stood at the boot of the vehicle.

" We finally have her Apollo. " His voice held a scary amount of happiness.

This is maybe the first time I've ever seen Storm this happy and it was quite reassuring as his best-friend. After the death of both of his parents many years ago Storm wasn't the same after that. Having to take the position of Alpha at such a young age took a tole on him. He had no one to guide him, no one to teach him. It became quite frustrating. We've been best-friends for almost all our lives and coming home to see you best-friend emotionally drained wasn't a reassuring sight. So as the loyal friend I am I tried my best to help him , to lighten the load he had to bear. It started off small by helping him with simple paper work then it moved up to planning wars with him till finally he was able to do it by himself. After that he became this cold person I couldn't recognize. His actions became ruthless and merciless. It was like he was someone else, someone I didn't like. It was like he loved the feeling of being feared by many as if that was his fuel to carry on , and it was quite disgusting if you ask me. So seeing him this happy reminded me of our childhood , our hard and troubling childhood. It was like a snippet of someone I use to know, but as soon as it came it was gone. His eyes turned stone cold as he stared at the innocent girl over my shoulder. It was like he finally remembered that he shouldn't be happy about this. As if the girl was the key to his dark past the answer for the death of his parents. Removing one of his hands from his coat pocket he opened the boot of the car before disappearing around the vehicle.

" Just put her in and lets go. " His voice held a great amount of venom.

Doing as he commands I gently rested her weightless body in the boot of the car before closing it. There I made my way around the car to the back seat , hopping in. This was going to be a long ride.

It took us about a few hours to get to our pack-house, but it was worth it. Located on the inside of a dense forest our pack house was well situated and well protected. Many didn't know about our pack which is great meaning less attacks or raids. Driving down the dirt trail leading up to the pack house I really began to think. I never questioned Storm's plans but it really confused me as to why we needed this girl. Looking over at Storm who was seated on the left side of me was staring at nothing in particular. He always did this when he was deep in thought. Nudging him with my elbow I gave his a small nod.

" Everything ok in there buddy? " I asked quite concern about his change in attitude.

Giving me a small nod he continued to give me a blank stare. A small shuffle from the back of the car surprised us both.

" She's awake." He whispered as the corner of his lips lifted up in a faint smile.

The abrupt stop of the vehicle indicated that we have reached our destination. Stepping out I circled my way to the boot of the car prepared for what was gonna jump out at me.However, it was completely different opening the boot of the vehicle she was just sitting there cradling her knees to her chest , her cheeks moist by fresh tears. When those big pale blue orbs looked up at me I could see the fear and the pain she was going through and it broke me. Reaching out to her she flinched away from my touch. Sighing and keeping my gaze emotionless I reached for her again this time she allowed it knowing that maybe fighting was gonna make this more difficult. Hauling her over my shoulder once more I made my way to the entrance of the pack house where Storm stood a wicked smile present on his face.
