Chapter 1

Emma's POV

It's been 4 whole years since we moved. My 18th birthday was last month.

The first month when I moved Hunter would call me everyday and everyday we had less and less to talk about. It was like he was bored of our relationship. Then one day he called me at midnight and said he couldn't take the long distance and he would have no time to visit with tour so he broke up with me.

After that I started paying more attention to my online classes and I finally graduated two months ago. I haven't figured out if i wanted to go right to college yet.

I still live with my mom and Derek. Derek proposed to my mom a year after we had moved and they had their wedding June 7th. Derek owns a mall in Los Angeles and his side of the family is kinda...well rich i guess. So we have have a really nice house. My mom works as a cook in one of the restaurants in the mall.

Elliot is 4 now. He can talk and walk. He's just growing up too fast,I can't keep up. He looks just like his mother. He has blonde hair and brown eyes. He's just so adorable.

When i moved here the first few months were lonely. I didn't get out much cause I would be busy unpacking or doing my classes. But then I went to explore my neighborhood one day and met two of my best friends. Natalie, who has blonde hair and brown eyes. She has an adventurous personality and is really fun. Tiffany has dark/tan skin and brown curly hair-brown eyes. She is really chill and outgoing and funny. Oh and I see Cameron and some other Magcon members that live around here too.

I really love it here actually... I mean i miss Arizona but California has really worked out for me and my family. Let's just hope it stays like that.

Present time

I woke up and smiled. I grabbed my phone and texted the group chat i have with Natalie and Tiffany.

Me:hey wanna come over and go swimming?

Nat: I'll be over in an hour!

Tiff: same ^^

I smiled and got up. I walled out of my room and down the hall of our huge house. My mom is always at work all day, Elliot is at a babysitter and Derek is probably out doing something with the mall. So I'm usually always home alone.

I walk in the kitchen and jumped.

"Oh its just you. " I said. Derek knew he wasn't going to be home a lot and neither was my mom so he hired a maid for when their gone. Her name is Molly.

"Sorry to scare you dear. "She said and smiled.

"it's fine. Nat and Tiff are coming over in an hour, do you think you can make some snacks for us?" I asked and she nodded. She has always been nice to me.

I walked back to my room and grabbed a black bikini. I put it on and slipped a cover up over it. I put my hair in a bun, brushed my teeth and walked out.

I made sure I had my phone and walked through the livingroom and outside to the pool. I plugged up my phone to the radio we have outside,and pressed shuffle. I took my cover up off and laid on a chair until the girls showed up.

I heard their voices and laughs echo through my house and i turned around.

"Hey Em. "They said as they both picked a chair and sat down.

"Ya know there's that party that Cameron's having this weekend. We could all go?" Tiffany said. They know the guys too, cause of me.

"Cams party's are always fun." Natalie said while putting on her sunglasses.

"I'll think about it." I said and got up, walking down the steps into the pool.

"Come on Emma. It'll be fun!" Natalie said and they walked into the pool with me.

"I'll go if he asks me to go alright?!" I said and laughed.

We all dried off and went inside to the small fruit bowl with whipped cream molly made us.

"Thanks Molly. " We all said as we took the bowls up to my room. We took turns changing in my bathroom then we all sat on my bed and ate our fruit bowls. My phone buzzed and i looked at it.

Cameron: Hey you, Natalie and Tiffany should come to my party this weekend! It's gonna be lit

Me: sounds fun!

"Looks like we're going to the party." I said and they girls cheered.

"And it looks like we're going to the mall tomorrow! "Natalie said and i agreed.

This should be fun right?
